The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed the source late on Thursday and warned consumers not to eat shredded iceberg lettuce from Taco Bell restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia.
A Food and Drug Administration (CDA) investigation identified a single supplier of the lettuce. The federal warnings to consumers did not identify the company.
To actually clarify, since this article is truly awful, Taylor Farms, a multi-billion dollar farm mega corp that supplies every single major fast food vendor in the US with pre-chopped lettuce and nearly all grocery stores with pre-made salad kits, is the source of the outbreak. This includes Taco Bell, but also McDonalds, Wendys, etc.
They were also behind a massive e. Coli outbreak in 2024.
They said the FDA wouldn’t name them, I appreciate you clarifying who it was.

Well this puts me in the awkward situation of not trusting a corporation, but also not trusting this CDC and FDA to have actually done any work. This could easily just be a scapegoat.
Well Taco Bell already pulled some items from their menu in certain locations because of the outbreak over a week ago.
this was tricky because the symptoms were not unusual for those who eat at taco bell.
I bet this was an American plot to help ice support. They are tricking the very smart Americans that this fine Mexican food chain is making people sick.

If you knew any Mexicans, you would know that taco bell is not Mexican food.
That was part of the joke, sarcastically calling them “very smart Americans” because they think taco bell is a fine authentic Mexican food chain.
