    I’m all for this proposal.

However the ‘Miss Piggy going ham’ is the real gem in this post

I think one of the straight-man muppets works better as Polyphemus. Fozzy works better as one of the other cyclopes asking who hurt him.

Sweetums was my first thought actually, but it still works.

Fozzie: What ails you, Polyphemus, that you make such a noise, breaking the stillness of the night, and preventing us from being able to sleep? Surely no man is carrying off your sheep? Surely no man is trying to kill you either by fraud or by force?’

Sweetums: Noman is killing me by fraud; no man is killing me by force.’

Fozzie: Then, if no man is attacking you, you must be ill; when Jove makes people ill, there is no help for it, and you had better pray to your father Neptune.

The only issue I can see is relegating Fozzie to a bit part

could even be both “Weren’t you a cyclops?” " oh that’s my brother. good guy"

Pretty sure they have actually done that somewhere

  • Haven’t seen a movie in theaters in a long time, but I’d actually consider watching A Muppet Oddysey.

Only mildly related, I’d love to have a 90s Michael Caine, Tim Curry, and 2010s Danny DeVito all costarring in a muppet movie. The first two already proved they’ll give it 100% and act like it’s any other performance, and I think DeVito would as well.

If you got a problem with the Muppet’s then you’ve got a problem with me, they are delightful

I was not very interested in seeing the new The Odyssey film, but considering the nonstop conniption fit that the MAGAs keeps having about it, now I absolutely have to see it. Certainly, it must be a cinematic masterpiece if it makes them this angry.

It has been my experience that any film’s artistic value (or that of any artistic work, for that matter) is directly proportional to how angry it makes the MAGA crowd. At this point, it’s practically the strongest endorsement of an artistic work’s intrinsic value.

And I can’t imagine a better version of it than seeing it acted out in the oeuvre of The Muppets.
