I need context.
Reverse image search says it’s a Republican fighter from the Spanish Civil War. I didn’t find much beyond that.
This image has probably been extensively cleaned up with Photoshop. The version in Wikimedia Commons is much messier.

Context from a thread I found through reverse image search:
It is one of multiple photos taken by a Norwegian athlete in Barcelona in the day a civil war broke out. The athlete was there for a competition being organized in protest to the Olympics being held in the then already Nazi Germany.
