Good news is that I’m going with friends and I’m the most prepared.
This is gonna be a disaster.
The best road trips always are.
But at least I’m not in charge of the play list.
I love this. I’m doing a solo road trip at the end of the month on a motorcycle. 10 days. Vague destination. No plans. It’s gonna be epic.
Dang I usually need to reserve a campsite a few weeks in advanced to get something available around here unless you’re staying in like BLM land or something
Good news is that the area we’re driving through has a lot of BLM land and National Forests/Wilderness areas so if some of the “first come first serve” campsites are full we still have options.
BLM land is rough without a fully off-grid RV.
I’ve got a pretty well equipped Gen 1 CRV, it makes most of the BLM land in eastern Oregon pretty easy to camp in.
This isn’t the next “I need to survive for 3 days without pooping” situation, right? …right?
You need to active PANIC. Without the last minute PANIC, nothing gets done.
