Full title: A 2,000 year old hololith ring carved entirely from a single massive sapphire. It is believed to have belonged to the infamous Roman Emperor Caligula, with the engraving depicting his fourth wife, Caesonia. The gold band was added in the Middle Ages to resize it.
How
Tiny chisel. Big patience. Based craftsman.
This was probably someones entire life.

It’s crazy how clutch this guy is. What a 10/10 show.

Sugar, sodium citrate, blue food dye…
Thats so cool, i wonder how it plays with candle/lantern/sun lights
+1 to maximum power charges
And Rampage (cuz Caligula)
Just one?
That’s a handsome lady right there…
I’m also going to wait until my wife is an elder lady to engrave her bust. I mean on a ring. Bust on a ring, on hers. Ah you know what I’m trying to say.
I wonder what it would cost to commission another. With manufactured sapphire it would probably be cheaper than Caligula’s.
“Ol’ fatfingers” Caligula they called him.
Imagine your fingers so fat, when you make a ring for yourself, the next guy wearing it needs to put a whole ass extra ring in it just so it doesn’t slip away.
That’s his wife? I thought that was supposed to be a skeleton.
She is a skeleton now, to be fair
