Both. But ultimately it’s the government trying to circumvent our constitutional rights by having a private organization holding the data.

The Bill of Rights is pretty much a list of rude suggestions to the government now.

Fair point in the US at least, but I think this intense anti-government rhetoric since Reagan has been massively helpful for them gaining that power over the last half century. Better rhetoric would have focused on constraining power accumulation of any kind.

Ah, the comma… the devil’s punctuation mark.

If you want me to say thank you to Gary, leave out the comma. "Say ‘Thank you Gary’ "

If you want Gary to say ‘Thank you’, leave it in. “Say ‘Thank you’, Gary”

Edit: ah, quotation marks… thenextguy’s something or other. I clearly wasn’t paying attention.

You misunderstand the intention. The request is for people to say:

      thank you, gary

      So it actually is correct.

Oh, and if you want to tell Gary to say “thank you”, you could write:

      Say “thank you”, Gary

No. The comma is correct as is. The quotes surround what should be said to Gary. The comma after Gary is correct. However, there should be a comma after “say”, I should read

       Say, "Thank you, Gary."

The comma is in the right place.

Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won’t be tolerated.
