I haven’t played Spider-Man 2 yet, but I didn’t necessarily mind some of those sections in the first one. I’ve heard there are fewer of those sections in the sequel anyway though.
There was one where Maryjane was telling Peter about her day. It was playable and it was kind of a pain.
I was pretty pissed that I was failing at a MEMORY. It just didn’t need to be there.
The silent auction. I just got to that point in my current run, but haven’t started it cause I’m just doing some side stuff right now.
I think this is the only MJ/other character mission that I find annoying, because you can take your sweet time before anything really happens just walking around and hearing MJ’s thoughts about all the stuff.
But the worldbuilding is imo half the entire reason to play these games. They did such a good job of crafting a lived-in Marvel universe just from the SM games alone.
The MJ sections are annoying, but nowhere near as intrusive and frustrating as the Ciri sections of the Witcher 3!
Those sections totally killed my attempts at a second play though.
Did everyone hate that? I thought it was cool
Forced stealth sections in action games are always divisive. The character choice was irrelevant to the backlash.
Hated it.
