That’s true! But I believe that you still need an account and, of course, the play store collects some data about the device its installed on/installing apps on. Depends on peoples threat/privacy model if they want that or not.
Either way, a sad day for open source that aurora is being blocked.
It’s trying to close their system off further because there’s a lot more tracking that can be enabled if you use their official app
If you have GrapheneOS though, the playstore is sandboxed and gets no priveleges or tracking. Just an fyi to anyone.
