“Slop me, mommy!” is the command.
How do I disable
I don’t know how they can make this legal in a Two Party Consent state. Even if the raw recording is not made available to the user, it is still recording people without their consent. Additionally, I don’t know if “summary recaps” of recordings fall under the same laws as raw audio recordings.
As much as I would absolutely love to be able to go back and re-listen to conversations to make sure I remembered important information (my wife gets pissed at me for forgetting things all the time), this is a privacy nightmare.
I saw Gamers nexus explaining this recently. They said that if if you’re able to hear what the other person is saying then fair game as they can’t reasonably expect privacy, but if they go into a room or car then you can’t use sensitive equipment to record them. And those who have one paid full price?
Great, now we can shout questionable phrases around these wiretaps so their owners’ AI puts them on a watchlist.
This is Apple’s glasshole moment.
Ew. No.
Apple learning from LG and put their own icing on it. Disgusting.
Where’s all the people from here now who praised Apple and vowed their next phone will be an Iphone after Google announced their mandatory developer verification?
I am so thankful that I never let apple into my life.
