Sometimes if you are brand new to a job, it can take an extra week or two for direct deposit to kick in. More than likely, they’ll just add the difference to whatever your first full paycheck would have been, but I have seen some places mail the first (partial) check out (which they may also do for anyone who opts out of direct deposit).
