Hopefully someday soon people will take engine exhaust from high traffic areas seriously too
We do see an end of the tunnel already. EV share among new cars has risen to 25% across the EU. While the share on the road is still rather around 5% it starts to make itself felt. I think when we cross 10-20% (with accordingly higher share in urban areas) people will start to realise how incredibly bad the air is along traffic corridors because of dirty ICE vehicle.
PS: No car is of course better than an EV but an EV is still much better than anything with a combustion engine.
I learned from The Monkey Wrench Gang that some well placed karo syrup tends to make diesel engines not run so well.
That is why there is a fuel crisis.
The Straight of Hormuz is just a scapegoat.
Elon is using fema emergency generators to power some of his data centres and the nearby towns reek of gas, and the residents are developing asthma as a result. Not to mention insane light pollution, noise pollution, the residents have lost all water pressure, and their electricity bills have skyrocketed.
Sounds like it’s already a doomsday scenario in those towns. Somebody should do something about that…
Fire usually works.
“Skyrocketed” better not be a pun.
They can’t do anything, yet if a group of black activist where in there they would bring out a black hawk helicopter and bomb the place.
Sounds like they must store a lot of fuel on-site.
I have a suggestion.
Does it involve gasoline, or diesel, in a glass bottle?
I don’t think diesel will be that effective, ethanol and gasoline are the best choices
Gasoline, polystyrene, beer bottles, and cloths.
Remember kids: do not stuff the cloth into the open top of the bottle. This allows the contents to slosh out and possibly coat yourself. Seal the bottle and then tie the cloth around it first
No timmy you don’t.

Diesel doesn’t burn easily. It will put out a match. Gas is flammable because it aerosolizes.
Gasoline on the other hand, is cheaper right now.
Nothing ? Generator go boom

Would be a shame if all that diesel they need never arrived for some reason
