I shit you not I was just recently informed less than an hour ago that I have a nephew. I know I made the post about my cousin transitioning like a day ago but there genuinely is a third now. I am very happy; I feel a lot less alone now.
I will say, they haven’t yet said what their pronouns are, they just said they are trans and go by [name] now, so I am using gender neutral terms for now until I hear back from them.
Update: I have found out that he uses he/him! Meant to update here earlier but I’ve been really forgetful and busy lately.
What I love most about this story is that there exists a possibility that after seeing one family member break free from their assigned gender, the others understood it was an option for themselves too. 🥲
One of many reasons why representation is important! It’s not enough to say “eh they still have it as an option” when they’re actively trying to keep people from knowing the options.
Uncle and Grandpa:

This made me roll 🤣. Here’s hoping they come out of that huddle ready to invite them to dinner.
Its spreading! Truly the queer army will be at a fighting level sooner than later!
[name] is so stylish, I like that, it’s kinda just a blank space.
No idea how to pronounce the brackets though.
Lol. Their name is actually a pretty common trans masc name. I could assume they use he/him from that but also I don’t want to assume pronouns.
Jealous. My family has lots of lesbians in it, but still waiting to find out some are trans. Granted, one has said they’d like to hormonally transition (they’ve essentially always socially transitioned) to me on more than one occasion but they’re still in denial that they’re trans and refuse to go further with it. Another recently has expressed some gender questioning/thought even if she ultimately likes identifying as a woman.
At a recent family+ gathering where one of the young children there told me that their classmates call her a boy for some reason and I wonder if my relatively androgynous presentation is why she wanted to tell me that when we just met.
It’s cool now that people feel like talking about things they probably wouldn’t otherwise say because of my appearance suggests I won’t be judgemental.
