Turns out there’s some Clydeside whisky in Quebec and I found one. It help that we have only one alcohol seller in the province. Nonetheless I’m happy, I’ll pretend that I brought it back 😅

It’s probably the toughest region to assign a coherent character to, in my opinion. Mostly pretty easygoing and unpeated, avoided the sweet sherry casks too. I’ve personally never found them very interesting on the whole, but that is most certainly subjective. Clydeside is also one of the brand new distilleries, so I have no idea what OP’s specific one will be like!

That’s a very new distillery! Was this one that you were specifically after?

Did the tour when I was in Glasgow last month, sadly the others I found were inaccessible with our tourists mean so we got to do the one in the city, right after the riverside museum. Great day

Ahh, nice, that does sound like a good day! And yeah while it’s lovely visiting a distillery in a remote craggy glen, it is a lot harder to actually get there. I hope.you enjoyed your visit overall!

Ho I’ll have to come back someday. Didn’t have enough days to do everything I’ve wanted to do … which is going to more distilleries (we only did two and it’s a real shame)
