I have been trying to find the name of this creator for so long. I read “Great” by them forever ago, forgot the name of it, and spent years looking.
I’m talking multiple reddit posts, hours spent googling, asking friends, never found anything.
So thank you for accidently solving this mystery for me.

We really need more shows with this level of originality and execution
I would say if you haven’t seen it, DanDaDan kind of brings me back to that. Similar levels of crazyness absurdity and almost juvenile humor, with the same kind of deep expressive real feeling characters underneath.
I have seen it, and it’s good!
Kill la Kill also reminded me of FLCL a lot but I suppose that’s no surprise given many of the Gainax staff who worked on FLCL went over to Studio Trigger
