    NATO military doctrine doesn’t require as many tanks has the Soviet doctrine, which Russia is still using, does.

        Well it’s the military, so mismanagement of funds is a given. But that’s not what I’m saying.
        I’m saying that this number was probably aligned with the rest of NATO already, and that NATO doesn’t expect to lose 180 tanks by driving them single-file on a highway.

          It’s 180 in that first batch. Contract apparently is for 1,000. With a joint effort of production, so the last batch will be fully assembled in Poland.
