Doesnt have to be sound, just a template
Well, I went to a gig that my son in law played to show support. Turns out his band is made up of three very talented musicians and a lead singer who believes that screamo is his gift to mankind. Would go again if they promise to ship the lead singer to Siberia, the three were great - he was NOT.
Somebody touching the thermostat
Booooo!
Dubstep? Techno?
I’m in my 50s, and that’d draw me in.
Have you tried some PowWow Step? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RUcnImJglw
I’m 50 and went to a live concert of theirs. It was fantastic.
No, that’s new to me. Pretty cool, except maybe the audio engineer could tone down the volume of the screams early on? It gets much better as the track proceeds, but that first bit really killed my ears.
Fuck, I’m getting old.
😀
Gen Z and Alpha slang.
My niece’s vocabulary consists of “sussy baka” and “bye Felicia”. I’m not sure how “bye Felicia” became modern slang.

The movie Friday.
But it’s from 1995, and the phrase supposedly peaked in popularity 10 years ago. How is it a thing again?
No. And what’s old in this context? Also the reason young people can hear it is their hearing haven’t degraded or been damaged.
A group of young men with that stupid fucking mushroom head haircut. Jesus Christ.
Broccoli, right? I prefer ice cream
ummmmmmm …… Vocal fry and uptalk?
Maybe something low-pitched muffled by something high-pitched?
Rap music
Rap music became popular in the late 70s. It’s oldies music.
Yes, 70s rap, that’s what I meant. That makes sense.
Yeah, but somewhere around a decade later “Gangsta Rap” became big & I lost all interest in rap from then on - guess that’s your answer, OP. Well… for us crackers, anyway.
Trans people? Black people? The right for women to vote? Public transportation? Personal accountability?
Hey, now - not all of us old folks turn into assholes, ya know. I’ll give ya it seems like a majority have, but there’s still a decent percentage of chill hippies, Gen-X, and such around that are good folk.
