This was 13 minutes of meandering thoughts but no real information and certainly not a review. The video can be summed up as he likes using it better than other Linux phone distros, you can use waydroid to use some android apps but it is crap for travelling due to lack of e-sim support and inability to access public Wi-Fi networks that require a login process.
Is this your video or you just mirrored it to peertube?
I am really keen on trying out a Linux phone, it’s really cool to see this review and understand some of the things I’d be up against.
How do banking apps do in waydroid (assuming it works on GrapheneOS already so it’s not a super fussy one)?
It’s mirrored, the original is here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HjfwyMuLnPo
I’d also be curious to hear about people’s experiences with banking apps in Waydroid. I’m using /e/OS, curious if app support would be pretty much identical.
Yeah I saw the link to the youtube version on the peertube video, that’s what stemmed my question, I was wondering if it was theirs.
I’d buy a Fairphone 4 and give this a go but I can’t find one on this side of the world 🙁
