Hey y’all!
I’m trying to add more tools to my arsenal to just quiet down and ground myself, and make it easier to start and stay in meditation.
I find that Andean pan flute and such has really helped me in the past, but I can’t find any good albums/playlist or songs anymore. Leo Rojas has some nice tunes, but also some way too active ones.
An example of something that really makes me melt is the beginning of this instrumental:

Just waves, no unnecessary stuff at the side with a different tempo or volume, etc.
But this thread isn’t just about me! Please feel free to share what music helps you to ground, relax and find calm. I’m sure it can be useful for other folx browsing. :)
Thank you!

Animals as Leaders is my brain go brrrr music. Metal and instrumental are the best.
Lazer Guided Melodies always does it for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkPPxLm50V0
Also the Neu! albums https://youtu.be/4pfrHyk50RQ
Khruangbin - Con Todos El Mundo, and I also have a playlist I keep adding to called Remain Calm
These two aren’t like the others, The Beautiful Chorus albums Rhythmic Meditations, also Love Dimension. On loop. Both on Bandcamp.
Marconi Union albums The Fear of Never Landing, also Versions. On Bandcamp.
Michael Stearns album Planetary Unfolding, available on Bandcamp.
Nils Frahm album Music For Animals, available on Bandcamp.
Anything by Kiasmos, they have two albums Kiasmos and Kiasmos II, available on Bandcamp.
Absolutely stunning, especially the first two! It kinda makes me think of Made in Heights, like the song viices, though there are still strong differences.
Thank you for sharing!
Brian Eno’s ambient work.
Listening to Ambient 1: Music for Airports now. I like how slow and gentle it is :) Thank you!
Check out “Deep Blue Day” by Eno. That’s always one of my go-to tracks.
Very chill! I’m probably too influenced by the still image, but it gives off space/cosmic vibes :)
Don’t know if it always counts as chill but Tron Legacy soundtrack, every time.
If it works for you it counts :)

My grounding music is old blues. Like scratchy old records.
I have enjoyed a soft murmur on days where I need to focus. A soft murmur is a neat little website where you can build your own soundscape. You can even subscribe to access the full sound library. I have used this site on off for at least a decade.
The free version is great already btw. For years I used singing bowl, birds, rain and waves as my soundscape. After I became a subscriber I got into crickets and frogs xD
As far as I know, this is an initiative by one guy so if you decide to subscribe, the money goes to him. He has a bio on the site that describes the story behind the website and his mission with it, but I don’t remember it super well. Haven’t used it since October because my life has been a hectic mess haha.
Super cool!
Eric Satie’s piano pieces
Good stuff :)
YouTube Gregorian chants
White noise generator site
Ohh I’m digging the chants! Thank you!
Stuff like this
“The Man Who Made a Monster Song by Dance With the Dead ‧ 2017”
Float in the direction of the notes. You can keep your mind quite empty.
