It is pretty spot on, because all his life Trump has aspired to be one of those two-bit hoods he came into contact with so frequently during his early real estate career. His entire life philosophy has been formed based on an attempt to mimick their behaviour.

As someone who watched the Simpsons in the 90s, to me the modern version is unwatchable. But, it’s still on, so people must still watch it.
