Yes and no. It’s unrealistic to expect to only ever be happy. Ebbs and flows of mood and emotions are a completely natural and unavoidable process. It’s for those more extreme ebbs and flows that are cause for concern.
You can’t entirely cure depression or anxiety. Even with support, you will have days where, due to the balance of neurotransmitters or whatever, you’ll feel like shit even though you have no real reason to.
A big milestone I hit while managing my anxiety and depression was realising that having bad days is just a fact of life, not a sign that I was failing myself.
Yeah I was told that recently in therapy. Sometimes you are just going to have bad days. That’s ok. That’s part of being human, not a failing on your part.

You’re not a terrible person because you don’t fully understand why your noggin makes you feel some way. You should always strive to understand and better yourself, but you don’t have to be perfect all the time.
