So in France bicyclist are allowed to ride through intersections when traffic lights are red for their direction, telling the traffic where bicyclists are riding from to stop, but bicyclists can ride through?

To all those repliers-readers claiming that pushing the crosswalk button to cause the traffic lights to automatically go from green to yellow and then red, stopping the automobiles sooner, for the bicyclists wanting to cross, eliminates the benefits to The Livable Earth & Living Beings. As I have already said, in other reply, it does not because the automobiles were going to stop & go any ways, or there is no need to press the crosswalk button in the first place, can just ride through an empty enough intersections.

Another huge benefit if my idea was done, then more people would be incentivized to use a bicycle, run, jog or/& walk, instead of using any vehicle (even greener electric & Etc. vehicles) is way greener, in many ways.

Sure, I do not think it is illegal, unlike Jay Walking. I go if there are no automobiles, but with South Fl.’s southern areas population always increasing*, there are lesser & lesser chances that there are no automobiles.

*- With the northern areas (more political power) getting the state-county politicians to building a ton of cheap condos-houses in formerly lesser populated density-traffic southern areas & away from northern areas’ tourist & their already high population density-traffic for ever increasing low-minimum wage workers to live away from northern areas,

What big deal is having switch? Sure it would be cool, if it was done by censors sensing our bicycles riding-up. But would barely save any time, when they located at the beginning of the crosswalks/beginning of the intersections. Is that avoidance not wasting more time, let alone endangering you more?

I disagree, because it depends upon the roadways & areas you live in. There is a roadway, in South Florida which is the most dangerous, my surrounding county is the most dangerous & Fl. the most dangerous, in The USA!

That is just stupid as BLANK! Even with perfect drivers, something mechanical could cause a dangerous situation & no escape available. Really what protrayed in the video is perfectly/dream land.

I agree with everything else you said, but that is crazy. If something dangerous is happening you have no where to escape to. Ride on the edge & escape to off the roadway. I have had to do that often

‘Walking While Black’, in my South Fl. rides I tell you driving on sidewalk or even parking on sidewalks enforcement is non-existent.

I do not know exactly what you mean by lore, I am guessing you mean ‘Star Wars’ legend (for lack of better word), but let me say it does even matter to my point, so I would just concede what you are saying is true.

My overriding point, which I thought was obvious, especially with the, just tiny sample of many cases, examples I gave, that peace activism works! It might take the time (but really should not take time, time is really based upon the peace activist commitments to their goals & the amount of them; Anotherwards, it takes patience & relative to perspective & understanding of the reality) & after achieved, be ready to take on others (internal, external or combination of both), but it works!
Yet in ‘Star Wars’ (almost all other SciFi entertainment one can think of, let alone ‘Star Trek’) the creators rush right pass, not even portraying it is possibility, or (as you say happened in ‘Star Wars’) through a ridiculously short attempts at it. I always want to be closes to the sidewalk, than any vehicles, especially vehicles that have to make frequent entering of my bicycle lane to back to the traffic lanes, to my left. Remember, the buses & other vehicles needing to reach the stores & Etc. & back out again, have to cross the bicycle lane to get the regular traffic lanes, they need to use. Where as if the bicycle lane was right next to the sidewalks & edge of the whole roadway setup, then buses & other vehicles needing to reach the stores & Etc., only need to look for the bicycles in the bicycle lanes, when they parking. Even then, if the bicycle lane was right next to the sidewalks, then even the parking spots should be out the bicycle lane, thus then only the people walking to sidewalk, stores & Etc. would have be careful. If I had have a crash, What 175-lbs. versus several tons, I would take the person!

I live in an unincorporated area, so we do not have a city mayor & such, but we do have a piece of crap County Commissioner & not good enough county mayor (do not get me start with The Rep. ‘Crazy Capitalist’ Party’s state level politicians). While exact copies of Mayor Mamdani is not my top choice of politician I want (ex-Seattle, WA. County Commissioner Socialist Kshama Sawant is my top choice), exact copies of him still would awesome replacement for our piece of crap County Commissioner & not good enough county mayor.

However, as a bicyclist for function over pleasure, both are important, I see one-problem- one of the PICs has the public busying system (including all the corporate transportation- shipping products & Etc.) lane on the inside lane/closer to the sidewalks & such. I can tell that is not good, because cyclist need NOT have to move around buses, like in Scandinavian countries! The people & products getting on & off the sidewalks & Etc. need have to move around them!
Another two-things about the awesome NYC election results & what comes the Democratic Socialist Mayor Mamdani‘s (SP?) term. I was shocked & extremely happy (not that both could be a lot more with a winner outside of The Dem. ‘90+% Capitalist’ Party & more completely taking on all the issues, not the ones & not to the degree that the sellout Socialism & “Independent” AOC & Bernie members) when it was challenging-certain to win.

When he talks publicly (where I can experience his words, actions speak louder, than words) about NYC’s public transportation he only talks about public buses & late or never arriving.
