I’d hope that one’s production server is backed up.
Yeah, all this means is that you’re gonna have to spend time restoring from backup. Right?

So theres a mastodon post by a cartoonist called grickle:
and I just used the piefed web client to make a post to !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone:
In my post, I just put the URL to the mastodon post, added the word “rule” to the title, and hit enter. the title and body were filled out, and the image and thumbnail were automatically added. I didn’t realize that’s how it worked. (it makes sense, but I guess I just hadn’t thought about it before…)
Or sometimes there are just multiple failures. That’s what I learned from reading Admiral Cloudberg about air disasters: even if you have n safety measures, there’s still the chance that there’ll be n+1 failures.

Thanks, tho I shoulda been more specific: if someone else posted something on Mastodon that I liked, how do I “boost” it, i.e. cross-post it to Piefed/Lemmy?
“They’ve still got a brighter future than YOU!”

This is how I learned the US lost at the World Cup.

At the moment, what’s the best way to cross-post into piefed/threadiverse from mastodon? e.g. an image.
So far I’ve just been downloading the image, and making a new post in piefed with the image, manually quoting whatever was in the original mastodon post, and adding a link to the mastodon post.
After reading Hitchhiker’s Guide, me and my cousin tried to fly by jumping off a (low) wall and forgetting that we were falling.
Relax, Marcus. You’re fighting in the shade!

Yeah I never understood when family would try and make me feel bad for being born. Like: it wasn’t my decision!

lel yeah good point.
Agreed. A friend had a background check done for government work, and in their case if they lied it was a felony charge.
Can you imagine that? “What are you in for?” “I… I lied about working for Sears.”
As that stuff gets more expensive, they’ll make it easier to get microloans.
They each cost 80 dollars
Plus 5 dollars a year subscription each. And you still have to pay the rest of the year for the game that Sony took away.
You might even say it was… “U T O P I A”…
