    Thanks.

    1. I cut a bunch of Pax wardrobes down to size to be full length fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms.

    2. A room has a nook with an awkward sized gap next to a wardrobe. I got a narrow CD shelf unit from Ikea and attached 3 of them together to make a narrow and deep shelving unit that fits perfectly to fill up this nook.

    3. Our bathroom had little space and little storage. The Ikea over sink medicine cabinet had the correct depth to fit, so I got 2, cut and modified them and fixed one on top of the other to make a narrow stnading bathroom storage cupboard.

    4. Got an Ikea oak kitchen counter top and cut it to fit alongside a wardrobe to make a long double computer station for the Mrs and me to be able to do computer work from home.

      That’s awesome. I need a pantry and I don’t have a lot of space to fit it, just one small empty wall. Been kind of looking at a few IKEA options. Unfortunately there isn’t one near me so I have to order for shipping and can’t see things in person.

        It is much easier to go to a showroom with measuring tape to find something. If you’re only looking online then it is going to be difficult to compare the measurements of all things or see if it could still be put together after being cut down. Sometimes solutions lie in garage storage or bathroom storage to find things that would fit in your pantry.

        Also worth looking at some other non-Ikea furniture shops.

          Yeah that’s very true. When I go back to visit my family I have to pass an IKEA so I’ll have to stop by. But yeah I wasn’t limiting it to just IKEA. I have a feeling for the small space I have, I’ll end up having to make one. I’m currently using a storage rack meant for bins but due to a terribly placed vent, it’s like 10" from the wall.
