My girlfriend is amazing that way. She’s as far-left as I am and I’m absolutely enamoured by her.

My partner has started using terminology that I use. I think she genuinely still saw the USA as possibly a good country and now she drops words like “corrupt,” and “fraud,” in places that weren’t previously said when talking about our society.

My hope is that I’m merely providing scaffolding to articulate a thing that is felt but not discussed. I’m pretty sure a lot of USA citizens really need that.

The United States doesn’t have a left wing. Only a right wing that’s slightly less extreme right wing than the extreme right wing.

Your two party system has fucked you over for a whole century.

There are a lot of us with zero political power, and then there’s liberals and Neo liberal parties. I imagine it’s pretty similar in EU or anywhere in the west really. Imperial core & all that

In the US every politician at the left of the right wings is for the US a communist, perspective thing.

Here’s the thing though, if you are ultra conservative, or even just a Republican, leftist, left wing, liberals, and Democrats, all mean the same exact thing (not conservative Republican). Hell most people left of conservatives don’t even know the differences themselves. It’s really shitty that the Democrats have to appeal to leftist, liberals, independents, Democrats and everything in between with the platform and messaging, Republicans have to appeal to their base, that’s it. Makes it really hard to win elections when you have to be the perfect candidate for 10 different groups of people all with different ideologies.

Being apart from the norm isn’t an indication of correctness or incorrectness, and the overwhelming majority of those who lived in socialist countries that dissolved socialism regret said dissolution, so not sure what your point is.

Being extremely apart of norm usually is.

majority of those who lived in socialist countries that dissolved socialism regret said dissolution

That’s just plainly wrong. Entire communism in Central-Eastern Europe was dissolved in 1988-90 through fair and democratic elections with overwhelming majority of people voting against communism. And I live in one of these states. Noone is missing that sick, perverted system.

Again, the majority of people who lived in socialist countries where socialism was dissolved regret its fall. This makes sense, considering an estimated 7-10 million people died from its dissolution, child prostitution skyrocketed, drug abuse skyrocketed, life expectancy plummeted, homelessness rose, joblesness rose, and economic growth stagnated or collapsed in most countries, only barely recovering decades later and with a privledged few making it out ahead with the rest left behind.

In reality, the USSR was dissolved from the top-down, by the Yeltsin faction, against the wishes of the people.

After this referendum, crisis hit and political instability skyrocketed, resulting in an agreement pushed by those who would loot the former Soviet States for profit.

Angela Davis is still alive, Professor of Feminist Studies and History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz, laying low, writing about feminism and avoiding taking part in any leftist movement that would get her killed.

I wish that ghoul Clinton would lay low.
Just seeing her makes me want to throw up.
And I don’t care for hearing from the cool Drone King either.

I mean that’s where my MiL started (on the right) and after many years of work she’s now firmly to the left of Bernie and AOC, but not quite at the “armed minorities are harder to oppress” stage. Maybe by the end of summer …
