Or!! We don’t buy US weapons. We build more factories for weapons, create more jobs and boost our economies and get less unemployment?

No, you don’t understand, sending money abroad will strengthen our ties with our enemy ally and the money will fly over then rain down on us!

Janan Ganesh is politically confused and repeats whatever the wind blows in his direction to make people listen to his self perceived centre based smartness. He’s not as centre as he thinks or likes to portrait himself.

First he was against Brexit, then he was for a hard Brexit, then he critiziced Brexit.

These profound “insights” are always presented without any introspection. There’s no such thing as “compassionate conservatives”. That’s just a fool who acts like a mouth piece for the right wing.

Interestingly, at the height of the cold war we had the highest military spendings, but at the same time our social security systems were in a better position and housing was affordable . So I say: Let’s increase welfare spending and lower the housing prices in order to get a better funded military.
