What do you guys do with these cards I seem to randomly get?
I’ve sold like 3 to get 18 cents or so, but this seems to be really inefficient when it comes to time.

I completely ignore them, there is no reason to waste time with skinner boxes.
I mean. That is why I want to get rid of them. I really don’t care about them at all haha.
If you have no interest in making them into a collection - just sell it or gift it to friends who want it.
Probably you ‘get more’ out of them if you give them away. They will be more happy than you are with 18 cents :D.Do people actually care about collecting these cards? Every time I’ve sold them, it’s been for pennies.
I did care in the past. Probably this post will make me create couple more badges to reach lvl 40 (I’m lvl 37 currently), and with that booster pack boost (probably 1% altogether) I will just sell all of mine.
I did that in the past too, just to boost my Steam Level. But its kind of waste of money, because I don’t benefit from the benefits its providing me anyway. One can already add 250 friends and upgrading adds 5 more slots per lvl. With every 10 lvl more showcases can be added to your profile (but mine is private anyway). I stopped at Lvl 69 because I realized it makes no sense (but it kept going up on its own).

5 dollars are still 5 dollars - you can buy some very cheap indie games with it :)

I think you barely get any gems from converting them (compared to converting wallpapers or emojis for example) so selling them makes the most sense. Or donating them like someone already suggested, if you got friends who are interested in crafting the badges.
I tend to set my sights on a low cost indie game and funnel all that junk into buying it, I did it with stardew and Terraria, and slay the spire is on the way
Sell the cards. I occasionally auto-sell them. Last time it was around 50€

Oh it’s just a browser add-on. The “steam inventory helper”. Still needs a bit manual labour though, but helps. One just needs to be enough of a cheapskate to that for some measly cent 😁
Not auto sell, but if you go to the badges screen in steam you can sell/buy all the cards for a badge in one go.
They have some ridiculously strict rate limiting though, so you do a few, then come back and hour later to carry on etc.
Personally, I trade them with others so I can craft badges.
Crafting badges will give you an emoticon and a wallpaper. I recently sold a wallpaper (from the game “paquerette down the bunborrows”) for ~5€
