The battery also gets a decent boost compared to the Pixel 10, now at 4,985mAh, up from the 4,970mAh the 10 got.

Interestingly, the Pixel 11 is significantly lighter than the Pixel 10, going from 204g to 197g.

Ah yes, quite a decent 0.3% better battery charge and significant 7g lighter. Take my money!!

I got tje 8Pro second hand and am happy with it running Graphene. Coming from an iPhone, it’s pretty shit. The camera is garbage… I’m waiting for the Motorola lineup next year to upgrade

Ah I should have thought of this being a software issue, a decade of iPhone has got me used to rolling over on stock apps… Thanks for the advice!

Can you recommend any specific apps? I see 42 on fdroid

Hey that 15mAh could be the difference running out of power before Gemini has a chance to send your most up to date info to google.

And decreasing weight is always nice too, makes easier to loose grip and watch it plummet to the ground preventing Gemini from sending your most up to date info to google.

Price is higher, RAM is lower. That’s a worse experience to get for a damn color notification led that only activates for calls.

The old LED notifications of yore were far more useful. Why did we get rid of them again?

Why did we get rid of them again?

It cost less than 1 cent per 1000 unit so axe it to make line go up

        only activates for calls

And only five of your contacts too, because Googly Goggled Google is like that. They don’t even let you select a custom colour, only the preselected options (even though we know it’s possible, it’s just LEDs), nor any cool animations (just the one for Gemini, but I imagine most of the time people are using the chatbot when holding the phone, not face down)

the 10a was basically the 9a, the 11a is probably going to be the same, you can save money and get a 9a with grapheneos ;D

Price hikes, less memory, and a little light that lets you know one of your five of your favourite contacts are calling (not all of them, just five!), so basically a worse version of a custom ringtone/vibration. It also glows when you speak to Gemini, but I imagine you probably know when you are chatting to your chatbot, either the chatter or the chatbot would be chatting.

Do they think people are going to pay more for an objectively worse product? Because they’re right, but only because people are idiots

Was planning to get another Sony now but they stopped selling their phones in my country…

With Asus taking a pause and all other options being random Chinese brands or budget phones there wasn’t really a choice left…

The brilliance market justification of “see, people are buying [literally the only thing offered because options were removed], they like it [complaining loudly]”

Unfortunately, the main line Pixels haven’t had an audio port since the very first pixel in 2016. The affordable (-a) series held out until 2021 with the 5a being the last model with a port.

If anything, I’d be curious if the rising cost of storage makes Google (or other flagships) cave on expandable storage with the next model.

Quite the opposite. The reason they got rid of it in the first place was to push people into paying monthly for cloud storage. Rising hardware prices just makes that easier.

This won’t bode well for those thinking of buying second hand Pixel 10 if they (me) want to have the latest-1 for GOS. Might not have enough tech addicts upgrade to the 11.

Although for all intents I’m probably am fine with the a series if not for the storage. 256GB might seem a lot, but I pirate so it really isn’t.
