Lol they’re admitting they can’t do their work or live their lives without Ai thinking for them. Not too bright.
A coworker of mine made the worst code base in the world. Beginning as soon as it was allowed, he used generative AI to work faster, add more documentation, review his MRs, write tests, and make changes to embrace industry norms.
It went great until this code was actually deployed. It turns out that he more than doubled the size of the code base, and made the worst code ever written by humans even worse. It has become superhuman levels of bad. The code AI wrote for him is going to produce the singularity of stupid, out of which hyper-anti-intelligence will emerge, and grow to consume every compute resource for the remainder of time.
In related news, yes, I could end my use of AI.
This guy asking me if I like eating shit… 🤣 Silly rabbit turds are NOT apart of a balanced diet. I don’t care what the anti-social lowkey billionare angry gay techbro society has to say about it. Your gipity is going to destroy the future for many and just because you are the only one with money in the end… there will be nothing to buy. Ratios and proportions. These techbros and corpos need therpy asap. fUcK yOuR meNtAl hEaLtH dAy… wE nEeD bEtTer pAy… eVeN bEtTer jUsT fUcK oFf
I destroy your sand castle and my the little mound I have is the only one in town. So I am the best.
You can tell he uses ai because of how fucking stupid his tweet is
Have to use “AI” to miss “AI”. Honestly my work output would double since I’d get to spend way less time rejecting overly long slop PRs that don’t even do what they say they do
Cory Doctorow has a great article about this myth of the usefulness of AI:
If Donald Trump ordered Big Tech to turn off all of your country’s chatbots tomorrow, nothing would change. Every one of your country’s ministries and corporations would chug on with nary a hitch. Households, too, though perhaps a few of the younger members of those families would have to do their own homework again.
…Contrast this with what would transpire if Trump directed his tech giants to switch off your country’s Office 365 access, or to brick your Android and iOS phones, or to killswitch your John Deere tractors. Your country would effectively cease to exist.
I mean yeah, things were chugging along just fine like 5–10 years ago.
I would hope that even an AI proponent can see how absurd it sounds to say, “Can you imagine going back to the way literally everything worked, like, 30 months ago?”

Bryant, I was quit when I came in here and I’m twice as quit now.
Stop the fuck right where you are! You know the score, pal. When you’re not a cop, you’re little people.
This is so delusional, I can’t believe this is where we’re at as a society

Easily. Next…
I would simply have one less tool at my job, one I didnt have until about 4 months ago, been here 10 years. Google wouldn’t provide me with an AI summary of what I’m looking for and I’ll have to, god forbid, research.
Lets just say; if everyone uses coke or some concentration drug for work and you are not, you are fired soon.
Same with AI. Hate it or no, you have to adapt to it.
nobody has to do anything.
Plenty of my coworkers use AI. Those same coworkers often get in trouble for missing important details and referencing building codes that don’t exist. The only adaptation I needed to make surrounding AI was making sure to turn off the new AI “features” that popped up in the programs I use.
