And they are always in scratchy places!
I share the same sentiment towards corporate. I’d also remove/conceal big brand logos like this when I can, or I’d shop for things without visible logos to begin with.
I do, however, like to wear band merch. Bands that are just as happy to see me as I’m happy to see them. People I can go and talk to at the merch stand. People who, funded through merch and shows, will have the means to record another album.
Good thing you really censored that logo so no one will know it’s wranglers you’re advertising for in this post.
Japanese type censoring I see
I’m glad whoever made this did such a good job censoring out the brand, I might have thought it was subtle advertising otherwise.
Wrangler makes good shit at a good price point.
If it’s on a shirt or jacket I’ll find an iron on patch I like and cover it sometimes.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who takes the logos off things!
I don’t buy the things with the logos,
There’s dozens of us!
I got shit for wanting the dealership stuff debadged off my car. I got what I wanted in the end but having to argue for it was annoying
Those badges are more an east coast or midwest thing. Out west, they just give you a dealership license plate frame that most people shitcan the moment they get home. When I first saw badges in a new car when I was in PA in the late 1980’s I thought it was the most bizarre thing I had ever seen.
That was in RI. Interesting. I didn’t know it was regional. I’m on the west coast now and come to think of it I haven’t seen that
People in Cali would be PISSED if a dealer put an east coast style badge on their tesla or porsche or benz
Obligatory

One thing I learned from punk rock: it’s OK to cut things off your clothes, or sew things on, or attach things with safetypins, etc. In fact, it’s encouraged.
I just avoid purchasing clothing with visible branding
I also try to. But those shirts are 100% cotton and a fair bit thicker than what you get from other brands. They remind of pre-enshittified Carhartt shirts. They’re kinda hard to pass up over something you can cut off in a minute or two.
checkout shirtspace, or any site that lets you order shirts to print on. They’re usually a few dollars each and you can get them in bulk in different colors. Different fabrics, styles, weights, etc. Literally shopping for tshirts by specs instead of look.
Bronson Mfg has some good solid shirts that are 100% cotton.
You were paid for this post we must presume
I wish I was, then I could buy more of their shirts. You want to hear about other stuff I’m a shill for? Too bad if you don’t. If you haven’t already invest in a bidet, they’re like $30 and are a massive game changer in b-hole cleaning.
You’re not joking…mine was 50 but hands down the best money I’ve spent in the bathroom
You can say bunghole on the internet, huh huh.
It was short for bumhole obviously.
Sorry “Booty hole” was the correct answer. Thank you for playing.
Well, I get my thick shirts from
And for about the same price too. Thanks, I’ll have to try one out some time.
Sometimes they’re sneaky and hide the branding. Like I bought some socks and the logo was not visible without opening the package.
(so I gave them to my cousin, he was like: whatever, free socks.)
I would buy so much more tourist merch if they didn’t plaster the location and branding all over it.
It’s clothing too, but some Nike shoes really, really, REALLY want you to KNOW, they ARE, in fact, Nike shoes.
YOU FORGOT THE SWOOSH BITCH you can almost hear the child laborers yelling at me.
Some shoes like the air force type shoes when it’s the same colour feel more subtle because it only looks like a logo if you recognise it. But most nike stuff it just doesn’t incorporate well at all
yeah I agree, I like subtlety on some of them.
I wish it was only a desirable brand problem. I used to get Skechers and not only have they gotten way too expensive for what they are (like, stay in your lane you’re basically Payless Shoesource) but they put a bunch of tiny labels on their “propriety technology” now. Look at these ugly things. https://www.skechers.com/skechers-slip-ins-go-walk-workout-walker/217196_OLV.html
But so do the knockoffs
I do this or black tape over logos on electronics. Feels so good you look around your house and not see any logos.
Yes, the reason that I put black tape over my electronics is
because they’re old hulks of shit falling to piecesto hide logos. Yeah, that!your reminder to wash your electronic pcbs (with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol of course) and learn to solder and replace stuff
At least once a year put them in a dishwasher for a deep clean. Comes out running like new.
First thing I do anytime I purchase a vehicle is to remove the dealership decal… I should do this with my clothes as well.
The amount of dealership license plate frames I see on cars blows my mind. I could see someone not wanting to put forth the effort in properly removing the decals, for fear of damaging their pant job, but the plate frame is a no-brainer.
I’ve taken mine off and they put a new one on next maintenance
that made me angry just to read. I would never be back if someone did that to me.
heat gun, blow dryer or a hot summer day makes the badge adhesive soft and easy to pull off…
I honestly can’t believe it’s legal. It would be like if Target opened up all your kids toys and put Target logos on the toy inside. The car comes wrapped with plastic and protective things all over them. They literally remove that and stick their own fucking logo on them.
It’s completely legal because the dealership owns the car. Same with Target, they could do that if they wanted to.
Owning it has nothing to do with it. It’s legal because there’s not a law against it. Just because you own something doesn’t mean you can do anything you want with it if you intend to sell it. You can’t put poison in it, you can’t sell asbestos. There’s tons of regulations about what you are allowed to do to products sold.
For now, anyway 😮💨😭
Dude, save those big brain ideas for small talks. Don’t give those silly managers ideas to keep them employed.
if Target opened up all your kids toys and put Target logos on the toy inside
You’ve got upper management written all over you!
In my state the dealerships don’t glue their logos to your car, only give you the license plate cover. The first time I bought a car somewhere else I asked them to take it off before they gave it to me. The guy gave me a look but did it anyway, but it was gone when I got possession.
They used to pin metal logos to cars, and the holes they made were the first to rust out.
You can just tell the dealer not to put anything on the car. No stickers, no plate frames… You have the right to say “no”.
And they have a right to tell you “sure thing, we’ll get that removed” and conveniently leave it out of the contract and tell you “oh, sorry, remove it yourself.”
And then you leave them a bad review and it stays there for a week and the owner replies saying they’re sowwwy and then Google removes your review.
I’ve never had an issue. New or used.
I do this with a lot of things too.
I thought this was only done because of sensory issues lol
My sensory issue is that I hate sensing advertisements.
Did you read the fine print on your purchase contract? They’re entitled to that advertising space. They are now legally permitted to tattoo their logo on your forehead.
