Everything is AI now, and I’m sick of it. So I’m done with all media made after 2022. This includes movies, TV shows, books, video games, music, comics, manga, and anime.
This was a surprisingly easy decision to come to.
So why would I read your blog post? It was published after 2022, so it was probably made by AI, right?
Jokes aside, that is not the way. Inform yourself and support artists who continue making stuff by hand. Otherwise you’re just surrendering to AI and will ultimately contribute to the downfall of hand-made art.
We can’t all fight every battle. Sometimes some people have to rest so that they can fight the next battle. Let people disengage when they need to.
I did this way before Ai, it’s hard to find good Movies and TV Shows nowadays, So I just started watching old Media from the 1970s-2000s.
I’ll agree too much AI slop is coming out, but there’s still plenty of non AI stuff getting released.
It would be nice if we could just flick a switch to get no ai crap though. I shouldn’t have to stop following linux, and open source forums to avoid it, I shouldn’t have to research every single game, movie etc either just because some people have no standards.

It is exhausting having to filter out all the slop. Do what you can to protect your mental health, support real humans making art when you can.
