I actually might have read this sidebar even, I’m just a bit tired of all the political stuff on meme communities, nothing personal. A lot of the political stuff is actually quite meme-like, so not surprised and also this is an important topic, so it’s good you share it. Collapse of human rights in america, lots of places where human rights are there like always and lots of places where they aren’t there like always. Yes this is serious, yes I think you should spread it, but it is politics just like invading Greenland is.

Mostly fair points, but if you don’t think there’s a symbiosis between the rise of Trump and the far right efforts in Germany, Hungary, Canada, and others, I think you are missing the big picture.
Yes, Germany and Canada have had some success in holding it off - for now. But even that is arguably at least influenced by the worldwide shock at just how bad Trump has been.
