Haha seriously though, the amount people project onto animals sometimes is hilarious. This was on my local lost pets Facebook as a serious reply.https://feddit.nl/pictrs/image/37c8c797-2675-4023-ba49-7e9ca536a454.jpeg

“my cat was chased home by other cats and they were waiting to attack if it went back outside, how cute!”

My wife is bad about projecting her own emotions onto our dogs. I’m sure I do it too.

Shes saying “the cats in your neighbourhood speak English and will take hyper specific instructions from you and do you favours if you ask them, like in a Disney movie or an Andrew Lloyd Webber play!”

People are absolutely terrible about projecting feelings and thoughts onto animals, dogs in particular.

It makes me sad because a lot of dogs live in perpetual anxiety and discomfort because their owners treat them like cute lil’ babies no matter what they do, ignoring their behavior and conditions that makes their stress worse.

He’s just happy to be included in whatever is going on. “We’re getting stuck with needles? Count me in!”

My childhood dog donated blood a lot and visited other dogs who were sick/injured. My dad worked as a vet tech, which is why our dog donated so much and got to visit the other dogs.
