Here goes nothing
Edit: I didn’t like it :(
I don’t know if I ate wrong or what but this just tastes super weird. No idea why it’s so popular
Edit 2: I just remembered I loved peanuts dipped in honey as a kid. That’s kinda similar. I wonder why I didn’t like this then.

Is there a special bread I’m supposed to get?
I just got store brand whole wheat toast bread
Oh man, i dont know if i could eat a pb&j on whole wheat. My go to is usually the classic white bread or toasted sour dough if im feeling fancy.
I second the “ew” on whole wheat, it will be better on white bread.
Brown bread toasts so much better than white.
A PB&J should not be toasted.
It works fine on most breads.
Good question.
I am also a peanut-jelly-noob and just curious myself if there is a special type of bread you are supposed to go with…
Any bread is fine, in all honesty.
If you want to be as accurate to how people used to eat it as a cheap staple in the 1930s, it’s white bread. But keep in mind that’s more intended to be cheap and decent than a high-quality food.
I would imagine a decent portion of U.S. kids still eat it with white bread because it’s cheap and it lasts a long time.
As an adult, I haven’t had white bread in a long time, but I have had peanut butter and jelly on wheat toast and that’s amazing.
Source: Wikipedia. The image actually shows white bread too, which is fun.
Of course there’s an acronym for that! It’s just the most American thing you could do.
