I’m sure you still can. I’m more pissed off at whatever was laundered from my taxes for this bullshit. Probably paid 1000x the price and reached into our wallets to do it.

I believe it was $7 million, paid to Trump’s pool guy from Mara lago.

I get thats the bottom of the list with the self enrichment and corruption, but 7 million sounds like a lot to drain the water and paint the bottom blue. This is how he gets unshakable loyalists. Choose a chud and make them rich, its the only way he gets people to like him. So whenever you see a scheme going on know he is scratching someone’s back.

Oh for sure. It’s a sad process to watch unfold, because even that bought loyalty will never be enough for Trump. He can and will dumpster anyone in his orbit as soon as it’s convenient, often ruining their lives. Michael Cohen, mypillow guy, Jeffrey Epstein…the list is quite long this is just to name a few. Just desserts I suppose, but what a terrible waste and awful way to live life.

$10.1 million to do something that didn’t need to be done (they painted it). $100 million is the estimate to actually fix the leaking pipes that pump water into the pool

For all those responding in bad faith, asking what the problem is - As I recall, these were some of the main points:

    • trump used millions in tax payer money and didn’t fix any actual issues. All this unnecessary work while trump says we can’t afford Medicare or childcare and spends billions on a war he started unilaterally.

    • used to be granite/marble floor, meant to reflect monument best

    • further, was meant to reflect reality that can be “murky” and not just give a fake, polished, happy facsimile. So not being bright blue and shiny was part of the point

    • gave a no bid, kickback contract to his own “personal pool guy” who will likely funnel millions back to trump

    • as always, does this with no review, oversight traditionally key to touching our monuments using our taxpayer money

    • painted a more premium non-painted surface that will now red to constantly be repainted as it’s exposed to harsh conditions outside

The main parts leaking are the feed pipes underground, ~$10M fix.

They painted it dark blue for water that’s not clear and sealed the most minor cracks in the infrastructure. Temporarily.

Ahahaha so it needs maintenance and that was too hard for the grift? 🤣🤣

One of the signs of a dieing empire is the inability to keep the infrastructure maintained

Well… these type of pools aren’t just a water container and you’re done. They are constructed in a specific way to reduce waves, to facilitate that flat water mirror state.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they messed that up because they didn’t understand it.
