warning: embarrassment alert!

It should be obvious that The Beaverton is satire, but a lot of people seem to miss the obvious, so here’s the warning.

I did not even realize this was a Beaverton article, because are they not doing it already?

Canada should be able to make their own good whisky as they have places at least as desolate and depressing as the Scottish Highlands and islands.

You mean the Kentucky bourbon boycott that damaged bourbon producers so badly that one of them is basically out of business while two more have shut down production? That boycott of Kentucky alcohol?

Americans just placed Tariffs on Canadian mushrooms. Folks need to boycott Mastercard and Visa in response.

We need our own “Nationalized” version of the service, or maybe we can grass roots croudfund it. Frankly any basic middle man services should be in the hands of the gov. This shit isn’t rocket sciance and those service funds should go to them and not some POS stakeholder

This is what Australia needs to do as well, with our eftpos system.

The only difference between it and the American two structurally is that it hasn’t been verified or implemented for credit payments, only debit.

Well you could hook it up to your bank line of credit and get all of the benefits of a credit card without the high interest rate and fees

Yes this, Interac works very well and should be expanded to include credit, or as described by another person, link it to a line of credit.

Screw the Americans, we need to continue the push to decouple our economies.

There is no use waiting till the Orange Turd is gone, the elite working behind him is the real ruin of the U.S.

Nope. We can’t afford the dev and maintenance of our own setup, clown-funding or no. Go with whatever Europe is using, as it’s like 50 countries already.

Dev costs?? Bro the groundwork is already known this shit won’t cost billions (assuming fuckery doesn’t happen) , it provides us jobs and funds our gov, Fuck giving other people this money, it should pay back into the country. I like the EU but I see no reason we can’t just copy existing systems and pay Back into ourselves.

Canada was our greatest ally. You don’t threaten your friends. This is the consequences of our own actions. Centrist democrats should have had this moron in prison it wasn’t a game and now the entire world is cutting ties.

      Canada was your greatest patsy.

The USA doesn’t have allies. It has tools and patsies. And this is the lesson the world learned the hard way this year.

I hate living in the timeline where I have to read half the article before making up my mind on whether this is satire.

Edit: Oh, there’s a warning. Good call.

It should be obvious that The Beaverton is satire

At least on mobile, there’s no header that says this is the beaverton. And it wasn’t until I got a third of the way through the article that I started to realize that this had to be satire of some sort and then had to look at the website name in the address bar.

Edit: I just took another look and there is a header but it is incredibly hard to see. And I’m not entirely sure that that’s not on purpose. I’m beginning to really fucking hate these satire sites.

And perhaps you could have read the text underneath that told you it was a satire site?

I mean come the fuck on! Basic due diligence here! I FUCKING TOLD YOU IT WAS A SATIRE SITE! And yet somehow, in what passes for your mind, you blame the satire site for you not reading the thing that told you it was a satire site.

Not to mention the headline is so obviously satire you have to have the reading ability of a tin of sardines to miss it.
