I’m watching Snowfall which is ok but not life changing. I’m also watching King of the Hill which I’ve never really watched before and really like
Been watching Reacher. Am one season in. It’s pretty decent. Really enjoying it.
In no particular order.
Legion. Best Marvel show you never heard of. Featuring Aubrey Plaza as a mind controlling demoness.
TURN - George Washington’s Spies. Smart scripts, great acting, and the best villain ever.
Monarch. Chasing giant monsters around the world? What’s not to love.
The Venture Bros. Johnny Quest is a meth head. The Scooby Gang are a cult. The GI Joe team is really the Village People. Better than Bojack Horseman and Rick And Morty combined.
Legion was very good. It was a very cerebral series that wasn’t afraid to go really out there.
On the DC side, Doom Patrol felt similar at times, though I think it missed the landing a bit more often.
I really liked Doom Patrol, but they got repetitive after a while.
I’m enjoying Lanterns, and I have to give Gunn and Fillion credit for creating the best version of Guy Gardner.
Doom Patrol had such a good cast and really unique visual style, but definitely felt what you’re describing.
Agree with legion, beautifully made and truly a trip to watch sometimes
I liked Monarch but S2 started to feel a bit amateur. The locations blended, the story disintegrated.
Poker Face, Natasha Lyonne and Rian Johnson
The best modern day Columbo show. You see who kills who first and then we get to see the crime being solved. Amazing stuff. Mostly fully episodic, S1 has an overarching arc, but it’s mostly just a way to keep the plot moving.
I am watching Jeopardy.
I recommend Jeopardy.
Just finished season 4 of Reacher, and season 3 of Silo, both incredible. Finishing up the latest season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, also great, one of the best Star Trek series.
The best thing I saw this summer was Widows Bay, which won all the Emmys.
At some point, I realized that I was watching 3 series about people living underground after some conflagration on the surface, and wondering about finally going outside again - Silo, Fallout, Paradise. All three were terrific, but apparently I have a type, when it comes to sci-fi.

Kingdom, which is a Korean drama set in the Joseon era. The king has fallen mysteriously ill, the chief counsellor is plotting, and the illness spreads to a nearby village, resulting in almost everyone dying. One of the 2 survivors claims the bodies must be burned before sundown, or else they will wake as monsters and attack.
I’m not even half way through, and definitely recommend it!
Chainsmoker Cat. Because why not.
I did not expect to like this show, but I’ve been having a hard time finding any anime I’ve felt like watching these last few seasons, I gave it a go. Absolutely love this show! Most of it is very crass, but there are a few heartwarming moments, and the characters feel much more developed than I expected. I don’t think I’ve watched the 2 most recent ones, but each episode has been great, but the tobacco farm was my favorite so far, though the Groundhog Day meets Final Destination style mochi pounding episode was pretty outstanding too.
I also checked out our other nicotine themed show of the season, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You, and that show is cute and funny, even though in some ways stupider in plot the Chainsmoker Cat, IMO.
I’m surprised to see two smoking anime, as I always recall the Gintama smoking lollipop gag and them saying smoking in anime was really frowned upon. I personally find smoking pretty gross, but both these shows get a thumbs up from me!
Elder mellinial here. A lot of the apple content is good (slow horses, silo, trying, etc), monsters of god on hbo is good. Small Prophets from the uk is weird and good. Upright, deadloch, population 11 from australia.

Oh word! Thanks for the clarification. Content consumption is so personal, I’m not telling my in laws to watch The Boys, I am telling them to watch task master.

Widow’s Bay was pretty fun, and felt it had a decent wrap-up if a first season.
