Liberals in here really love purity testing Hasan, huh.

I’m just glad we finally have people in the mainstream acknowledging that Zionism is racist after so many years of so much bullshit claims about how criticizing the government of Israel is somehow antisemitic.

It kind of is, since most of society is brainwashed in similar ways by right wing media which tells them what to think. Most people think what they are told to think.

I think what weirds me out about this guy is that a he only seems to exist in the podcast/YouTube/social media sphere.

I read a whole lot of news, but avoid YouTube/podcasts in general, and outside of Lemmy I’ve literally never fucking heard of him.

When I do, it’s always in threads like this one, in which everyone seems to have an opinion about him one way or the other, and anyone who disagrees is a shill/Zionist/tankie/agitprop.

I’ve yet to see a take of his that I disagree with, and I’m not assuming any nefarious intent on his part, but I’m a little weirded out by anyone who has that strong of an opinion of him one way or the other. He’s not a politician or running for office, he’s just an internet personality.

If he’s saying things I agree with (which he is), that’s all I really care about, I’m just not a fan of his chosen platforms and find the debate around him off-putting.

The reason you are seeing him now is because the corporate Dems want to use him to scare the base. I don’t think it’s working because mostly what he says makes sense and shines a light on how bad the democratic leadership is.

      he’s just an internet personality.

He’s got a double major in Political Science and Communications from Rutgers if that makes you feel any better about agreeing with his takes. He’s also fundraised for many charities including CARE International and several prominent Palestinian charities. And then on top of that, he’s successfully campaigned with many leftist political candidates including Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed.

Honestly he’s the same as any other political commentator out there except that he’s being brutally honest about some topics that no one has been honest about for a long time. It’s refreshing to see these views said out loud and have so many people agree with them. The more they platform Piker in order to show how “crazy” he is, the more people hear his messaging and agree with him.

Last night after the flurry of posts here, I went and went down the rabbit hole. I believe he did it and it gives me the ick. I also believe he’s being defended just because he’s a popular youtuber.

Lol. Confidently incorrect. I’m not a guy and my instance has downvotes disabled. I couldn’t even downvote you even if I cared enough to do so. Maybe more people other than myself disagree with your bad takes.

If you’re choosing to focus on Hasan having a correct opinion that is concordant with his beliefs, then you’re choosing to center Hasan instead of the message, when the message is much more important.

Most reasonable people find that behavior to be suspect, particularly when the issue at hand is about a genocidal ideology and you’re choosing to focus on inconsequential online discourse about the person that is calling for action against it.

This is a progressive sub so I would guess everyone’s already on the same page WRT his message, but if the message is truely important then it should be our best foot being put forward to spread it, and I don’t see him being the best foot with this wedge issue lingering. it is what it is.

Why isn’t he the best foot? Because of the right-wing propaganda? Then who? Whoever you choose, and before you name them, are you aware that, if that person ever becomes the center of the spotlight, they too will be smeared endlessly like Hasan currently is, right? You will NEVER find someone perfect, and if you do, they will lie about them. And then there will be people talking exactly like you are about Hasan right now, but about your favorite guy.

So, what’s your point here? Your goal? To weaken us, to distract? Or are you genuine? Because all you are doing is keeping the loop alive with this attitude. I’ve seen it since always. You will never have “someone who is the right foot to spread the message”, never. It’s all of us, including you. We all have to do our part, do not be as lazy as a religious person, who lazily neglects the pain of the innocent by simply “praying for them” in the comfort of their bedroom with the air conditioner on. You better learn how to embrace human flaws and turn them into something constructive, or keep wasting our time. It’s up to you.

It was thanks to Hasan that I, a random Mexican, still has hope for the “good” half of the USA. If it wasn’t for him, I’d be killing Americans right now by funding the production of fentanyl. All I have to do is buy my weed from a certain cartel and convince my friends to do the same, but I didn’t do it, because of him. It was him the only political influencer online that proved me Americans still got a chance and deserve to be saved. MAGAs are everywhere, including my country. Right-wing and fascism is not exclusive there.

We are all victims of our governments which sadistic crybullies and psychopaths from the Jeffrey Epstein class, who feel dopamine and serotonin when they kill/abuse/exploit/rape/control someone innocent or cause harm to others, have taken ahold of with ease because we are not like them, we don’t kill for power. That’s it. We just need the courage to remove them by force, put them in jail.

Do not make it easier for them, by keeping us “searching for Hercules” or whatever. Hasan is one of the greatest people in the frontline progressives and humanists have right now, and to deny that is to admit you’re malleable and easy to corrupt and manipulate. I’ve done my homework of learning your language to communicate what we are going through, here in Mexico, the Iron River, we need to destroy it asap, but Americans won’t let us. I have spent years watching multiple content creators, articles and news channels from the USA to listen to all the positions, and I am heavily disgusted by MAGA, and disappointed at the rest. Hasan has been the only one that shows the most humanist values, which are the ones I care the most about, idgaf about patriotism or nationalism, that shit is for the neanderthals, I care about the potential of humanity that has been taken away by the most greedy in the world. Your loyalty should not belong to your country or a religion or a political party, it should belong to humanity; hell and heaven are what we make of this planet to be, so, stop wasting our time with this pointless search, because we need action now, we are losing over 30,000+ innocent people every year to gun violence; guns we didn’t even make.

The right wing is the target audience! That’s the whole point. You can’t even get to the sales pitch if you can’t get your foot in their door.

Try posting this in a right wing sub and see what happens, and why. See if you can even get them to the message.

My goal this year is to vote in the midterms and to try and get at least two people I know to change their votes. I can’t mention this guy because I’ll just get shut down and nothing is gained.

We don’t need PERFECT but we do need a guy who hasn’t been accused with zapping his dog with no way for me to refute it, I can’t sell that to my two people before the midterms I’ll just get a door slammed on the sales pitch. He really needs to make this go away any way he can.

“with no way for me to refute it” there are so many ways. If you are expecting to convert the most hardcore MAGAs who are still supporting Trump today, you are wasting your time, you should be going after the doubtful, the genuinely-lost and open-minded. They do exist, although rare and a lot of them are already dropping him, they do require some touch to reach them first, you cannot just force your ideas with anger and clever replies, you gotta show them your world is better, by being funny, charismatic and cool with them if possible. I know it’s almost impossible to do a lot of times, but it does work and it is what Hasan has been doing consistently for years now, and it is working. Look at the attention he’s getting for a reason. Demons hate people like Hasan, because he teaches people these uncomfortable truths, which do nothing but solidify the Class War by spreading awareness, the last thing the Jeffrey Epstein Class wants to happen. They want a dumb, defeatist lazy society, one easy to lie to, manipulate and control, and for that they need the poorest majority to believe the lie that rich people are smart hard workers.

You also didn’t respond who should we be listening to. No one? Then shut up. Or who? Destiny? Ethan Klein?

And as I said, even if you found someone “better than Hasan” they will lie about them as bad as they already do with anyone, including Miss Rachel, dude. Miss Rachel. Like, the second mother of everyone’s child, a Barney-the-dinosaur-like figure has been called a terrorist and a monster. And you think you can find someone bulletproof to any of that? You realize that, for something like that, you will need to find someone as shameless and aggressive as Donald Trump himself, but with his heart actually for the people, right? Buuuuuut you HATE people like that. You find them too offensive or raunchy. You hate Hasan already. I can already tell you will NEVER find anyone better and are just here to waste Americans’ time and get them killed sooner. Latinamericans too. You already distracted someone like me for almost 20 years now. I wasted my time believing in people like you, waiting for someone perfect to do all the hard work WE should actually be doing.

Thanks to people like you we are still dying after decades of waiting for you to find that “someone”. You lazy fuck. You always want someone else, someone “more perfect than you because you are too lazy to grow up” to do the work for you just like I said about religious people. The majority of Christians do not really go outside to feed the homeless, or go to Africa to feed the children, or rarely volunteer or participate in community projects, the ones that do are a very, very small %. I grew up in a religious school, got forced to read the Bible every day. School was filled with future Andrew Tates, though. And they still call themselves “men of God” despite being racist misogynist greedy selfish assholes who would never donate a single dime even if they had an endless amount of money. Lots of my classmates were children of the most corrupt politicians and even sadistic powerful cartel lords in my city, you can imagine the kind of values they learn at home, and oddly enough, they climb the ladder very fast. That’s what being born in power does. It’s in the hands of the wrong people and we need to take it away from them already. They don’t deserve it.

You don’t even want to put in the easy work of refuting such a stupid hoax like the dog zapping smear campaign. Brother, the Jeffrey Epstein Class won’t ever go away with this lazy and porcelain-fragile attitude about everything. You have zero respect for Humanity, you only care about yourself, your own comfort, your own image, blah blah.

You don’t even need to focus on Hasan or talk about him at all when door-knocking. Just his ideas. Focus on the messages, never the messenger. If you’re wasting your time arguing about the dog zapping hoax, you already lost. Those people know they are lying just to waste your time, energy and sanity. You gotta attack those people with shit that matters to them, like having money, sex or stability. Ask them something like this and watch them get nervous all the time: “How come you don’t have even a quarter of what the average baby boomer had at your age, like 7+ children, a home at 19 years old, economic stability, or at least a happy family of four without a college degree? What happened? Are they smarter, work harder, or what?” and then slap them with this one if they are still simps for billionaires: “Immigrants, minorities, women, or LGBTQ people didn’t decide wages, housing costs, healthcare prices, or wars. People with capital did, and they love it when we fight sideways instead of up.”

“It’s always the people with 6 teeth applauding the people buying their 6th yatch” that type of shit is more effective when you see them talking shit about Hasan online. It forces them out of their playfield in front of everyone. The shit they reply with always repels the silent readers that actually matter. People care more about themselves than a fucking Twitch streamer, so. They always run away or get heavily fucking embarrassed with the shit they say. They admit being rich? Then it is pathetic this is how they waste their time. They actually have 7 children and whatnot? And spend their time commenting bullshit in social medias? That’s sad. A miserable life nobody wants. Baby boomers were happier than that, even if they were more ignorant.

Attack them with these, and trust me, you will get closer to what you claim you want: class solidarity.

Why should we listen to you otherwise? Why should we keep “searching for someone better” and keep letting innocent people die everyday? It’s been decades, dude. I remember motherfuckers like you when I was 12 back in the early 2010s. You were saying the exact same shit, both here in Mexico and also the USA. Fuck that shit already, I am almost 30 and everything has done nothing but go downhill. You wasted my time and my life, and now, the least I can do, is make up for all that time loss and instead of listening to people like you anymore, of taking you seriously or “respecting different opinions”, I will simply open their heads to the truth and move on regardless of how much they cry, scream or want to play like a victim just like MAGAs do. Political Correctness my ass; we have been in the wrong for a long ass time, wasting time policing ourselves instead of removing the parasites that control our education. We are not a victim, we are not innocent anymore, we are a fucking lazy piece of shit who is getting millions of innocent people killed with our ignorance. Fuck that. No more respect for ideas like that, no more.

Have you ever seen the FunkyTown video? The cartel video? That’s what we’ve done to thousands of us for decades. Go watch it. That’s what a lot of genuine innocent good people have gone through, because of this fucking world we allowed to be built instead of acting sooner. We just come across as lazy procrastinating sabotaging fed shitheads now. Comments read like we are trying to do reverse psychology or subtly convince people to give up, to feel defeat “because Hasan” or whatever. We just want someone more perfect than us to tank all the pain of having our egos and narcissism bruised, we hate being shown we are wrong and that we need to change, I don’t know. We need to be more shameless, but with our hearts in the right place, that’s all. That’s how those demons play, they can kill, rape and abuse us and then cry if we try to do the same to them. We allowed them to monopolize violence. To take it away, we first have to teach people to HATE them again. Exploit their jealously and emotional instability. You yourself gotta stop giving a fuck about money for that first, though. It becomes a lot easier to humiliate people who still care a lot about money, like MAGAs, Andrew Tate-like manosphere incels… Even if they are rich, if you call them boring or show them genuine boredom, they get hurt. No amount of yatches, drugs and sluts can replace the fact that they are still mediocre boring and uncreative nobodies at the end of the day. They STILL had their full potential taken away. Stop giving a shit about what they say about you, make them the center of attention, not Hasan nor yourself, and it becomes a lot easier to ridicule them and move a bunch of silent readers to your side. Those fucks literally navigate life under the idea that “Might Makes Right”, so, you show them how small they truly are no matter what and have fun doing it.

Chapter over. If you are actually one of those rare people who can read this much, be proud. You don’t have a TikTok brain. The people who instantly jump in to say “too long didnt read” “not reading all of that” and shit like that, they are no different from MAGAs. If they cannot even read a page like this, how can we be sure they even read about history, psychology, math, politics, etc.? They probably only read the headlines, you know? That’s the impression they give whenever they reply just to admit how lazy and fucking stupid they are to the entire comment section. Just to tell everyone that they don’t have the strength or balls to read a few hundred words. Sometimes they say they do, but simply call me crazy and never elaborate or dismantle a single thing, because they cannot, they are that fucking stupid. People like that are a waste of time. What is the point of coming to social medias like these if it’s not to read opinions? It’s worse when they do it in Reddit. “Reddit = Read it”, yet the neanderthals give up after 5 words. I hope you are better than that. It’s time we make reading as important as lifting or going to the gym. “If you don’t read a lot, you are fucking weak, period.” That’s how we get the manosphere to read more, by insulting them like in the military. It’s literally what they want, what they respect and admire, not even joking.

MAGA are not conscious beings. They’re not anyone’s target. Undecided/apathetic voters are, and you’re again assuming true some bullshit smear campaign, something that will arise for any figure that makes positive statements. The right wing are never the target audience. They will never see reason. If they are truly centrist then they will vote for their interests. But in order to do that they have to be informed. In order to be informed, there has to be someone to inform them. Whoever that is is going to be attacked by the establishment who doesn’t want an informed populace. The only people that won’t be attacked are the people that want the status quo maintained and corporate interests protected.

Notion makes perfect sense - we solve the conflict by displacing all jews in the area - after all they Stole the Land . after that we displace all Muslim arabs since they Stole the Land Form Christians before that

Arabs did not displace Christians they got to keep living there. Only their governance changed. That is why some of the worlds oldest Churches were in Gaza until Israel destroyed them.

Your stupid all-sides narrative falls apart very quickly when you know history.

I do not care what happens to colonists thieves. They can be entirely dispossessed and expelled to their country of origin if Palestinians so wish. Or if Palestinians allow them they can continue living in Palestine.

All of the land belongs to Palestinians. It has been stolen from them by force through a century of oppression and terrorism. The colonists have no right to any of it.

Believe it or not, it is possible to live in a state that isn’t an ethnostate based around your race. I’d imagine that what will happen to them is the same thing as happens to the rest of us not living in an ethnostate. They will either learn to coexist with other ethnicities, or, if they don’t like the policies that the majority democratically enacts, they may decide to move.

      Whataboutism.

Also what he said was 100% correct, and it’s no more “Han supremacist” than the Union ending slavery in the Confederacy was “Northern supremacist.” The analogy is on point. Slave states don’t have the right to exist.

Hopefully, we will someday reach the point where prison slavery is automatically delegitimizing the way we have with chattel slavery and serfdom. But are you really trying to say that those are equally bad? Do you think the Civil War was pointless, then? Was the South justified in fighting back since the North hadn’t abolished prisons?

Also, China doesn’t have private prisons.

I think it’s probably a little from column “A” and a little from column “B”…China did invade and annex Tibet against the will of the inhabitants, and it’s pretty messed up that China is controlling the appointment of the high level Lama’s, and they’re probably disappearing dissidents in typical fashion…but “Han Supremacy” is clearly employed as an inflammatory and divisive term, and it’s probably an overstatement for what has actually gone on.

There is far to much glaze of this bootlicker so I’ll just add that hes a genocide supporter who only views humans as tools to extract resources and build power for the state. It’s not a lack of perfection I’m concerned about, but rather a presence of disqualifying behaviors. There’s a big difference between a flawed person, and a person whose flaws make them specifically unfit for the social role they’re seeking to occupy.

And I hope Hasan Piker doesn’t wind up betraying his espoused values the minute he obtains actual political power. Humanity is still too intent being dominated by Big People, and they’re gonna keep falling for it over and over until we grow beyond it. I don’t hate Velma, but she spouts some really boneheaded non-arguments instead of actually trying to figure out what the hell I’m saying, and that’s kinda disappointing sometimes.

Are you trolling? How can you say, “There are better mouthpieces” and then immediately be unable to name a single one??

I see two possibilities. One is that you would hold every leftist mouthpiece to an unreasonable standard that no one actually meets. The other is that you follow some other streamer or personality, but you know that if you name them then they’d be subject to critique. Most likely, the person you have in mind is a Zionist and you know they’d be called out as such (which would expose your real problem with Hasan) so you just evade the question instead.

What other possibility even is there?

The only thing I’ve ever seen you say on this topic is complaints about how Hasan speaks to the chatter on his stream. That’s it.

If you can’t accurately identify your grievances with what Piker is saying, you’re being a mouthpiece for the fascists.

I wasn’t the one to claim there are better mouthpieces for leftist ideology that “deserve” a chance more than Hasan.

The only reason Piker is getting the attention he is right now is because he’s been consistent in his views and he’s been consistent about them for a long fucking time, way before Oct 7th. People are listening and that is scaring establishment Dems and Republicans alike. He’s earned the trust of his viewers and they are working for these candidates - they’re calling, they’re door knocking, they’re getting out there and getting the messaging out.

Who else is doing that in your opinion?

How many times do I have to say this? I do not care how much good he does or how consistent his views are. He’s a toxic shitbag worming his way into political power and y’all are out here going to bat for him. You put it up to me to suggest someone else and I could name at least one, but that’s missing the point. There shouldn’t have to be a someone else for you to reject Hasan. He should be rejected on his own (de)merits and not on the basis of his replaceability. If we can’t get shit done without making the same mistakes the bad guys keep making, we’re just going to wind up laying the foundation for the next empire in need of overthrowing.

And that, as they say, is that. Have a nice day.

It’s your point that you made. How is it missing the point?

I’m not going to reject Hasan without some serious evidence of wrong-doing. Simply disliking how he speaks isn’t enough to convince me and it shouldn’t be enough to convince anyone else to not listen to one of the strongest voices on the left that is actually helping push people to vote and be active in their political scene.

Sarah is likely a bot. They all follow this pattern:

              1. Say something provocative.
              2. Wait for responses and incite more confusion and anger (intensify the trolling)
              3. When someone asks for evidence or sources, say something like “do your own research”, “google is easy to use”, “I’m not your teacher”, “I’m not playing games with you”

They have nothing to say but they keep talking out their ass. Anyone that learned how to write a persuasive essay in 6the grade can form a better argument. I guess education in blue states is better though so not all Americans are literate.

He has a large trans fan base and is a staunch advocate for trans rights in spite of looking the part of a meathead. He’s pretty respectful about disagreements that aren’t disgusting in nature (racism, homophibia, etc). I think you probably just have a clipped caracature in your mind that likely doesn’t match well with reality.

I don’t care what other things he’s doing that might be good. Other people are also doing good things while not doing the bad things. The image of him I have in my mind was formed by just watching his videos and seeing the way he behaves. I’m tired of his fans coming around to talk the same boring meaningless shit and gaslight me every time I say anything bad about their golden boy. I’m going to just start blocking you all on sight.

              What same boring meaningless shit?

Genocide? Electing Dem Socialists? Pulling the Overton back to the left? Holding our reps accountable?

What same boring meaningless shit are we talking about here?

Considering that the first of your two complaints was entirely incorrect, it sounds like your entire complaint is that he yells at Twitch chat a lot. You’re completely within your rights to dislike him for that, but it seems pretty petty compared to the anti-genocide activism that is the subject of this post.
