Because the very limited exposure I still have in real life to people of this general political persuasion suggests that they’re all about blaming Biden for the current spike in gas and grocery prices. I’ve heard several different variations of why them blame Biden for current gas prices, but it mostly boils down to a nebulous, tangential line of reasoning that Biden didn’t start a war with Iran during his term.

My inlaws were complaining about 200+ dollar charges to fill up their trucks and vans with gas.
The same people were telling me that buying a used EV in January 2024 was a bad idea. My car costs about $9 dollars to fill up, and it does that from home.
And people, we haven’t even hit a fuel shortage yet. Wait until gas is rationed or flat out not available at most stations, and then see what happens to the price. If you think that isn’t going to happen, airlines are already cutting flights due to fuel shortages spiking the price.
