You joke, but I have a 1TB doomsday gaming ssd stick (HP 911) filled with all sorts of games

Laughs in Factorio.
Digital DRM. Lol. What a fool. All of my games are either DRM free or… DRM free (by other means).
they are DRM free(d)
Be sure to stock your bunker with lots of pirated games and videos.
or support GOG, and keep your offline installers stored
Yes, if they have the games you want.
Diesel generator inside a bunker…hmmm
It can still be hooked up to outside air. With good enough filters you can prevent radioactive dust getting into the machine and that dust outside settles quickly enough. But living in a bunker is never a long term solution and a good setup is expensive to prevent mold, have enough spare parts, enough fuel that doesn’t expire, medicine, …
But in case of a radioactive catastrophe, how long would you need the bunker to last?
Depends on the type of bomb, the yield, and if it was an air burst or ground burst strike. Back in the cold war they used to say between 3 and 6 weeks but with modern nukes which have larger yields it’s actually probably less time because they are fusion based, which don’t produce as much radioactivity.
Just make sure to ignore the preppers, because they haven’t actually got a clue. One of the things they always seem to stock is hunting equipment, so they’re proposing to go hunt after a nuclear fallout event. Yeah they went won’t long.
The hunting equipment can be for other scenarios.
Financial systems breakdown, into full anarchy. I reckon a cabin in nowhere, hunting equipment and barn full of seeds would be pretty rad for that scenario.
But yeah, eating plants is better than eating animals when contamination is a risk
You don’t think those plants aren’t going to take up nuclear fallout as they grow? Or that even disturbing the soil by working it will give you plenty of exposure? Leafy greens and root crops would be the worst for exposure.
The thing is contamination pollutes upwards, so if leafy greens have 1 mg of radiation per daily intake. The meat from herbivores would be something like ten times that amount and carnivores would be ten times the contamination of herbivores.
We’re seeing this effect with micro plastics and fish, the higher up in the food chain a fish is, the more micro plastics they have
I think 2 or 3 weeks, you should wait for the government to tell you that it’s safe though
That is if the government isnt directly responsible for this.
Just until you die. So maybe a few decades.
What is the minimum safe time to shelter?
24 hours absolute minimum. 72 hours per most civil defence authorities. 14 days for a designed shelter in a fallout zone.
And after that, it depends on how much of society is left.
But you also have to think about the time the shelter is on standby, and that might be decades. You don’t want by the time you enter the shelter to find out there is mold everywhere, the food is all expired and the fuel tank corroded and leaked.
Im feeling better already, better take a nap

Dude, my mind went there too!
I don’t even know how old I was when I first saw this but it was probably in the early 1980s and it’s always be a thing for me. This is the irony of the greatest magnitude.
Perfectly demonstrated
I love it so much
Spider: >!third pannel, by the chips!<
windows xp lol
Thats how old this comic is
Comment is under rated asf imo
Stuck in a bunker forever
Ooh I’ve never played any of the games
Never read das kapital or critique of pure reason
Never jerked off staring at a steel beam
Never mixed instant noodles with dungeon syrup
I wouldn’t last
