I already do pretty well by being the guy who actually understands what’s happening when everyone uses AI instead and saves the day frequently with actual solutions when everyone realizes AI just wasted a week of their time.

AI tech professionals are quintessential “Didn’t Earn It” hires. I’ve got 15+ years of experience, i’ll be fine when the bubble pops, but the kids who rely on it to function, good luck lol.
I was around for greybeards saying they wouldn’t learn AWS. Then containers. The ultra hype machine is dying but AI she LLM are here to stay. They are a great tool when used correctly and those that don’t learn it won’t be competitive in the market. Just like the anti cloud guys.
LLMs like this are fundamentally different than cloud. We got kids no longer studying in school because AI does it for them. We are witnessing the construction of a panopticon. The Overton window is quickly shrinking and wealth is quickly concentrating to like 5 people.
It’s not an “old man doesn’t like change” situation, it’s philosophically a stupid idea to introduce a new species to the planet that has a higher intelligence than us.
