Me whenever we went into Forever21.
There’s either a “guy’s rack” or there is no mens clothes at all
“We have a men’s dept.”
bath and body works
sigh
…yeah, technically, I guess 🙄
Every store I go to now doesn’t have a chair. They all had chairs near the changing room, now not a single store has one.

you know what? i’m a disabled person who needs to sit. i’m going to start making ADA requests for sitting areas.
I blame anti-homeless architecture.
It un-normalized sitting.Gotta get a folding chair in a sheath you can bust out like fuckin blade.

i need a back rest though. not a butt rest.
Shop till you drop, baybee
I call them ‘men benches’ and that’s where I’ll happily peruse some Lemmy when the missus is shopping
Their use to be a large hobby store near me that had a section in a corner near the entrance with a TV, a couple of couches and eat chairs, a pretty good selection of movies, Legos, and a couple of video game consoles. Great place.
Oh, I thought it would be a huge store full of purple and other colors, and then half of one rack in the corner filled with grey, with a sign next to it that says “Fuck You.”
No sign, but there is a plain gray/white t-shirt there in the men’s section.
(edit: Oh, and a sock and underwear. This place has everything!)
Yeah I noticed it after, but he still looks completely uninterested.
There are two clothing stores near me and I still have to go halfway across town to buy any clothing for myself.
If your partner is interested in your feedback/fashion sense, then Im game. Im not gonna just stand there and go “looks great” on every item for 2 hours.

me and my partner are lesbians but we would give anything to make a nathan sandwich lol (sandwiched between us i mean) damn he is fine for no reason
I mean I unironically love posting up in a back alley and having a chat with some random smokers/vapers, and I love camping.
Now, I love going shopping with a lady as well, but only if they’re honest with themselves and actually give a shit about your fashion sense, as applied to them.
If they’re genuinely looking for advice, ideas?
Hell yes, fuck I’d call that a fun date, or at least a part of one.
If they mostly just want you to be there as an affirmation machine?
Byeeeeee~!
Affirmation machine/packhorse
But, I don’t want to hangout with those guys. I want to hang out with the chic.
I hate these jokes. It’s like the boomer, “god wives are the worst amirite guys?!” jokes. It’s really not that hard to enjoy shopping with your lady.
Edit: I just look for clothes for her with her. Sorry guys.
No dorkus this is a joke about how clothing stores are 99% women’s clothes and have maybe a tiny corner for men.
seriously. i have two stores i enjoy shopping in because the tenth of the store devoted to men (i mean my body does not look feminine) at least has interesting stuff to look at. cool fabrics and shit.
Now that you pointed it out, I see the single shirt hanging in the last two panels. My first read of the comic was also “lol women love shopping” trash humor.
lol women love shopping
But they do?
Few statements predicated on “All women” are true. The same goes for many other subcategories of people.
Not a single person used the word “all” in this thread
Are you not a native speaker?
lol women love shopping
But they do?
What do you think that meant? Did you somehow not read it as a generalization?
I am. Are you ?
When people say GroupName, they are not saying “every single member to a person”. Generalizations refer to a majority, not the totality.
Npt everything is an attack on women.
I’d say it wasn’t about “women shopping bad” but the amount of men clothing’s in stores is borderline boring in comparison.
Women get 58382992 items in 2838473 colorful combinations, we got 3 pair of pants in black or lighter black. Slightly exaggerated maybe.
thrift stores, discount racks, and nordstrom’s discount store is where i find interesting fabrics that no one else is buying.
Pros: you find interesting fabrics
Cons: you might end up dressing like memake of that what you will
lol. dunno what nordstrom is, but yes. I found many cool stuff in 2nd-hand-stores. But there the same pattern applies btw. 97% women, 2% men, 1% whatever :) Though i often try to not shop there, as I feel kinda bad buying things others would need more.
Nordstrom is a rich people mall store in statesia. If you live in the states and have larger than DD cups, you probably have to shop there for bras if you don’t buy online. I like their fabrics but cannot afford them. They have a discount store that sometimes has decent prices called the rack
Neither live in the US nor shop for bras. As a male, this is kinda boring except for gifting :-) But I’d bet there are equally good bras elsewhere for decent bucks. Quality sure comes at a price, but it doesn’t have to be expensive.
They had a nice jacket I regret not buying, but I ain’t got 700 in jacket moneys. It was so pretty tho
That’s a lot for a silly jacket. I’m a very cheap cheapskate and this would be a big nono. But if quality is equal to the price then maybe…if one has it to spent…though I would prefer to invest 650 and get one for 50 😁
Men get navy as well! (Slightly blue black.)
I don’t know in what fantasyland you live, but there’s no such thing as blue…tsk…poser!
Men’s clothing section, in most retail stores, looks more like a walking marketing billboard with the companies logos plastered all over the front and back.
lol. yes. The worst. Never understood that stupidity to run around like that. Only poor people pay good prices for shitty things with logos, still made with slave-labour. But they try to NOT look poor and achieve the opposite :-) The real good stuff has no labels. You know where you bought it, you know who made it.
Well, it should be, but the dude just sits down at the fire. I don’t see him looking at that shirt, looking around at the women’s options and throwing his hands up asking where the rest of the men’s section is, and if they have these pants in under size 40 like I would be.
Well it kind of is when they get the whole store and we get 3 shelves because apparently men don’t wear clothing ever.
You gotta go to "*Victor’s Secret. That’s where you’re messing up.
You mean the bank?
It’s really not that hard to enjoy shopping with your lady.
It is if shopping is not your cup of tea. It’s exhaustingly boring.
Seriously, I hate shopping for myself, and that’s a fully engaging activity. Shopping with someone else where I’m just waiting to be prompted for my input, if at all? Fucking pass.
I ID with it. Women’s thrifting is 90% of the store. Men’s thrifting is the 4 things that will fit me that someone’s uncle died in.
you gotta find better thrift stores/cities.
Atlanta GA here. Sometimes there’s good finds but the hit rate of men’s clothing is proportional to the wider Western culture imo.
also how wealthy the neighborhoods are, what fashion was like there 30 years ago, there’s a lot that plays into it that i am an hour’s worth of coffee away from being able to explain properly, but then i won’t have a keyboard. i’m preaching to the choir anyways, explaining for everyone else’s benefit
In fairness I tend to use stuff until the thrift store would reject it anyway…
Gotta branch out. I’m fairly certain a few thrift store shirts I have were left in the mens section by accident because the buttons are on the wrong side.
Fuck if I care, I like floral patterns - fight me bro.
real men wear hawaiian shirts dude
It’s dreadful. A few years ago the “The wife did [insert silly thing tech-averse or shopping-obsessed person does] so I did [insert I-am-very-smart-action]” jokes were dying out, or so I thought. But hey, they are back en masse, and worse, re-done by a younger generation who fancies themselves emancipated and modern. Yuck. If you find living and/or spending time with your chosen person of the opposite sex so horrible please just don’t?
If you find living and/or spending time with your chosen person of the opposite sex so horrible please just don’t?
I’m sure there’re some lezzies / gays which are not fond of shopping with their partner as well.
