I am having mezcal with muddled raspberries, and some of the seasonal lemonade from our regional grocery, which this year is an incredible yuzu habanero lemonade. Splash of Aperol.

Wrapping up the weekend with a pineapple & bourbon drink. 2oz bourbon, 2 oz fresh pineapple juice, 1 oz Heirloom pineapple amaro, 1/2 oz lime (would have used more but this was the last lime on my tree, juicy but wee).

I have yet to find any variation of whiskey and pineapple that is not delicious.

We are watching the Stalker movie from the 1970s, husband fell asleep but I think it’s pretty good, have read a lot of things based on Roadside Picnic and it’s just such a foundation of sci fi.

Pineapple makes almost any somewhat normal cocktail ingredient taste good. Even makes a full shot of absinthe go down smooth.

Starting off the weekend with a daiquiri (the classic kind not the slushy) with Smith and Cross rum. My SO was kind enough to go on an adventure to source that funky rum and it’s worth it.

Martinis with Tanqueray No. 10 and Dolin dry vermouth. We also have Cocchi extra dry vermouth to try later. It was our first time trying Tanqueray No. 10. We thought it was a bit sweet for martinis, but perfect for sipping or for gin & tonics.

I’m out of vermouth, so I’m having Gin Cocktails, which is actually a Genever Old Fashioned with a dash of orange liqueur. Vermouth empties rather quickly when you’re drinking 4:3-Martinis!

Boulevardier tonight, well… Cynar instead of vermouth because I didn’t crack a new bottle since I only had La Quintinye Vermouth Royale and we’re heading out for a vacation soon (and I really like that one). So black boulevardiers (like a “black” Manhattan)? Bitter italy (play on the little Italy)? Idunno what to call it.
