Do they do scraps, curry sauce, or mushy peas though?

It’s the little bits of batter that float up to the surface when battered items get dumped into the friers.

Not all places in the UK do them which is strange because it’s essentially a waste product.

        A tasty wasty

          A tasty wasty

This is exactly the kind of product nicknaming I would expect out of Britain

Little crunchy bits of cooked batter, sometimes sprinkled on as an extra. Normally given away free.

It is (or at least used to be) the excess batter that dripped off the fish as it was cooking.

Long John Silvers does that, though they are pretty rare these days. Never really thought about it, but that’s as close to an English chip shop as we get.

That is very kind. But these idiots elected Richard Nixon in 1968.

So people want to eat mushy peas?
