what Trump is a scammer??

MADESCAMMED IN AMERICA
How do we know that HTC didn’t just rip off the immaculately designed Trump Phone?
Many very important people are saying so…
Whats the price difference?
And say what you will about the T1, but let’s give credit where it’s due. Trump Mobile aren’t gouging their fanbase…not yet anyway. Against all expectations, the T1 is actually well priced when compared to the equivalently specced 512GB U24 Pro, and the only things you give up are the 60W fast charging and your dignity.
That’s from the iFixit article. I checked the website and they’re currently listing it for $499, whereas Amazon has the U24 Pro 512gb (which I think is what they’re saying is the equivalent?) for $699. So maybe it’s actually cheaper? But I wouldn’t buy either one at this point anyway. The U24 Pro released in July 2024 with the promise of two years of security updates, meaning it’ll be out of support in a month. I can’t imagine this “new” version will get any support at all.
Im guessing it comes preloaded with spyware anyway. I mean, they all do, but…
Well at least its not Israel making these, they would have put bombs in them. Though are we sure Israel didn’t paint them gold?
Don’t forget the chance that he could upload his CP to your phone to blackmail you or frame you for his own crimes at any moment.
That’s an insane method.
“How come all of these new pedos have the same 15 petabytes of CSAM? And why is it always in a folder labelled ‘Donald’s Dirties’? These sick fucks.”
Ty <3
How long ago did people order these ago, and what was the cost then? The price surge on RAM and storage due to AI has already caused the prices of many mobile devices to go up, especially the ones with larger capacities.
Anyone who knows him and his history, he’s a scam artist and narcissist. He serves himself alone. That’s been clear for decades upon decades.
As has been said, he’s the cheapest rich person you’ll ever meet.
Huh? There clearly isn’t enough evidence to make that assumption. But don’t worry, I’m sure we can decide after 12 more years of his presidency
Trump supporters after getting scammed by the Nth time: “I still back Trump!”
After buying the cheap made in China hats…
After buying the cheap made in China flags…
After buying the shitty scam shoes…
After buying the gas-station quality knife…
After buying knockoff watch…
After buying preordering the phone…
After preordering the cOmMeMoRaTiVe gold and silver coins…
Them: “The next one will be legit!”
Don’t forget the $trump meme coin.

And they’ll even admit it. They’ll admit to how bad things are and still do it. Conservatives are requisite morons and no, being “educated” has nothing to do with being or not being a moron.
they moved the position of the light LED nearby the camera. That’s a surprising amount of effort for something that even has the wrong number of stripes on the american flag
It’s worse than having the wrong number of stripes. There’s the right number of stripes on there, because he’s using his name as the bottom stripe.
He’s basically saying that he’s more important than Georgia.
I’m probably just going blind, but I can’t see this moved LED light. The layout of the two images looks identical to me.
If you compare the photo of the back, it looks like the flash light and the noise reduction microphone swapped positions between the two phones. On the scan they look identical because the LED and the microphone are in the same spot, just inverted.
“CT scanners are woke” - Trump supporters, probably
Does this count as drop shipping?
White labeling. It could ALSO be dropshipped but no idea about that.
Did someone say pants shitting?
I do the best shitting of pants, tremendous. Big men come up to me with tears in their eyes -from the stench- and they say “sir,” they all call me sir, they say, “sir, that’s the best pants shitting I’ve ever smelt. The sound is like a volcano erupting. Please, do it again”.
Some people say that they’ve never seen pants being shit on so vigorously. Yet it’s something I do multiple times a day!!I mean, is it even shipping?
Drop skipping
So far, the ONLY benefit I’ve seen about this phone is that of you go into the developer options, you can immediate jail break it.
Obtaining root isn’t jailbreaking, it’s just taking full control of your linux-based system :)
Jailbreaking is so called because you have to escape the walled garden (jail) of apple products, which is a challenge because they wrote their own code. Not a problem you really have with android to begin with. You don’t even need root for most of what you want to do with android.
You don’t even need root for most of what you want to do with android.
I want to install an app in September
I want to install an app in September
Well shit, you can’t have everything.
Tap for spoiler
/s
most of what you want to do
why are you defending proprietary software?
Well, you won’t need root for that
You don’t need root for that. Just use a third party rom, like Graphene, Lineage, etc…
You need bootloader access which is arguably a higher permission than root
Thanks for the protection, KNOX!
Ugh…
Jailbreaking does not only refer to apple products. It just means overcoming software limitations set by the manufacturer. Rooting an android phone is also jailbreaking
It just means overcoming software limitations set by the manufacturer.
With you so far.
Rooting an android phone is also jailbreaking
Not if the method to do so consists entirely of steps that the manufacturer allows and documents.
Depending on the manufacturer and model, unlockable bootloaders mean that custom software can be installed without a jail to break out of.
rooting and unlocking the bootloader are not the same thing. if the manufacturer provides steps to unlock the bootloader, then i agree that that is not jailbreaking
Sure, but the method of rooting that I’m familiar with (and one I suspect is the most popular) is to unlock the bootloader and modify a boot image that you can freely download from Google’s website in accordance with their license, and then load and run that boot image onto your device.
To be fair, it kinda originated in the Apple world
rooting it or unlocking the bootloader?
Bootloader unlock, although there are basically no Android phones which support root and not bootloader unlock in 2026 since you generally need an unlocked bootloader to flash magisk
That’s kinda crazy. HTC stopped making phones then kinda sorta started again but not in the US
Happy Cake Day!
Kinda sucks because I am legitimately interested in a gold HTC phone.
This creates an interesting question.
How much cheaper than the base price would it have to be for you to willingly carry around a Trump branded phone that’s so immediately recognizable that everyone you meet will know what you’re using?
You’d have to pay me to carry a Trump-branded phone. Like, pay me a lot. And it would have to be a recurring monthly fee.
I’d like to say I’d stick to my principles here, but cases cost $10. Worst case I’m in a red state, wouldn’t be proud of it, but a bit of maga camo would make my life easier.
What if you bought an HTC phone and printed a case with Gold TPU?
*cries in Bowden tube*
You can do it. I designed and printed my phone case in TPU on an Ender 3.
It even used two materials. PLA for the hard outer face, and TPU from there up giving a soft interface and bumper edge.
TPU does generally suck on a Bowden machine. Stringing galore!
I just now realized I could do this easily with my U1. It might be time for me to make a phone case 2.0
I printed mine with (4) 15×2mm magnets embedded which allowed me to easily attach it to a variety of desk and auto mounts.
I did this about 2 weeks before the iPhone started doing that, so I felt special for about that long. But it was extremely handy.
Embedded?! Like inside, under a layer? Or tucked in a divot?

Yeah, inside the case, under a layer. I printed the PLA layers, paused the print to insert the magnets and change to TPU filament, then resumed.
I had to extend a bump outside of the case a bit to accommodate the depth, but the bump worked nicely as a coping to seat the phone tightly in the mount so it didn’t come loose with e.g. road bumps in the car.
The image has no label, but I suppose the Trump phone is the left one, since the other is cooler
This technique is like an average bootleg phone you can buy from mainland China
Well nowadays you can actually do better and get one that isn’t 2yo
Wait, wasn’t HTC banned from US sales due to security concerns about Chinese devices?
You’re thinking of Huawei. HTC is a Taiwanese company that used to be a major player among Android OEMs, but their business dried up and they exited the global market. I didn’t even know they were still making phones, to be honest.
Or ZTE
You are correct. I had a ZUK phone at the time, it kicked ass. Miss that little thing…
I think I’m thinking of ZTE, the change was like 2016-2017.
I had a ZUK phone at the time, and it was amazing. Lenovo bought them and incorporated them, and my Lenovo phone was also excellent but useless in the States due to using different bands/lack of software for the West.
OK but isn’t HTC’s reputation pretty good? Or maybe used to be…
So far I always heard the T1 would be some even cheaper no-brand from China.
OTOH, it could still be exactly that - a no-name rip-off of the HTC U24 Pro. The article actually supports that: the boards are the same but not identical. Like somebody used the same plans, not the same factory.
The HTC One m7 is still my favorite phone that I ever owned. It was so good.
The article actually supports that: the boards are the same but not identical. Like somebody used the same plans, not the same factory.
The article literally says:
Digging deeper into the phone reveals more of the same. As in the same component shapes, the same component placement, the same screw placements, and even the same anti-tamper sticker placements. Do you know what else is likely to be the same? The factories that made these parts. The biggest clue? The mainboard itself.
OK I didn’t read that far. You must admit the pictures look like what in German is called baugleich - identical in construction, but not completely identical.
Does it matter? This phones like 2 years old lol
I know 8yo phones that still receive updates.
I wonder how the Trump phone will handle this. Not at all, I suspect.
Its not about that, its about this “new trump phone” being some old phone being sold as new
GSMArena lists it as being available on the market.
The T1 is not exactly this device; from the article I get the impression it’s built from the same plans, but in a different factory.
It’s fairly common for any smaller batches produced mobile devices to be a bit slow to develop & hit the market.
It’s still a grift and a rip-off, but the phone having been on the market for just under 2 years is not the worst part.
Yeah, the worst part (so far) is probably the lack of data security after leaking the customers’ names and addresses. Who else saw this coming?
Not those who put their names there, that’s for sure.
It won’t, and the people buying this thing won’t know any better.
I’m going back to an old LG phone after my current phone dies. There really has not been much real progress in hardware or software, more like loss of features and controls with new updates these days.
Does using the same plans imply using the same parts, e.g. the processor, which usually is the limiting factor for providing updates?
