The place I worked at 3 years ago, someone forgot to drop their kid off and left them in the car in 90 degree heat (freedumb units). I assumed the guy was overworked as hell; that place did not give a fuck about work/life balance, just like most places I’ve worked here in the land of the slaves and home of the cowardly.
FYI. LinkedIn is owned by Microsoft
it’s microslop now
A partner took the child?
A partner? With this schedule? /s
14:00-15:00 is the only non-meeting productive work time in the day. 9 hrs of doing interviews seems excessive, but what do I know
Also a little odd that he did 6 interviews in 5 hours. How long are these interviews?
Also, as someone who regularly takes his son to daycare (and leaves him there! he needs to learn to hussle his way back home again, I can’t be there to helicopter parent!), good luck getting them up, out the door, through traffic, and back to the office again inside 30 minutes.
This guy is doing what I used to get yelled at all the time when I was filling out a time card - block billing. “One task? 1 hr. One hard task? 1.5 hr. One easy task? 30 min.”
Clients hate this shit. Real heads know to always randomize a number 1-9 to put in the last digit, so it looks like you actually put in time from a clock rather than rounding to the nearest mark.

My agreement with at least one of my client is that I round up to the next 15 minutes. They know to expect fairly round numbers.
At my 9-5, our time keeping software doesn’t even let you put in anything smaller than a quarter hour.
I had multiple clients yell at us for this, back when I worked in a contracting job. It was infuriating that we had to play these stupid games.
Maybe he works as talent acquisition
Founder apparently so could be looking for employees.
1h lunch, that’s a lot of time wasted that could have been used for conducting interviews. smh, ppl nowadays don’t really know the meaning of commitment.
Also only walked the dog once
22:00 - 22:30 Walked Dog
22:30 - 00:00 Cleaned up piss
00:00 - 2:00 Cleaned up piss
2:00 - 2:30 Cried
2:30 - 3:45 Cleaned up more piss
My dog fortunately a) really likes his sleep time, and b) has a bladder the size of a tanker truck. If I take him out at 10pm, he’ll go straight to bed and sleep until at least 9am if he’s not woken up by us before that.
Maybe his son has a mother
I was gonna say, that poor, poor dog.
I was thinking, where is your quality time with your child, but the comment is way better. :)
those were the interviews
She forgot him due to brain fog, from only eating lunch and a snack every day.
She?
They
2130-2230?
Maybe he lost consciousness picking up his son from daycare and crashed into a bus, then got uploaded to a new body by the next item
treating the IRL daycare like the daycare in Pokemon. If you come back to the daycare years later, you’ll have a lvl 100 kid
And an egg that they swear they have no idea how it got there
Cue “Cat’s in the Cradle”…
Kid evolved into teenager.
Teenager refuses to listen.
You went doing your shit but didn’t get any badge.
I mean for what its worth, if the dude has a partner they couldve just picked the kid up, its not exactly unheard of for one partner to do drop off and the other do pick up… kind of a lukewarm take here.
And the partner did minor things like:
- get his son dressed and feed him breakfast
- give the dog its morning walk
- go to work
- come home from work
- pick his son up from daycare
- give the dog its afternoon / evening walk, bringing the toddler along to spend some quality time in the park
- make and serve dinner for him / herself and the son
- give the son a bath and get him ready for bed
- read the son a bedtime story
But, I’m sure that everything there other than work would have taken what, 1-2 hours at most? Minor things.
The guy isn’t saying what his partner did…
That’s the point. Care is work.
And it’s not possible for the Lunatic to live the way they do unless the partner picks up the slack and does everything else.
I was the exception to that. I worked 14-16 hours per day between my main job and my side gigs for a while and still had to take care of the kids (one mine, one step) at least half the time too. What worked for me was going to sleep at 5 and waking up at 7-8.
My lovely ex-wife, however, slept all night (I had to take breaks from work if the baby needed attention at night) AND took naps during the day along with our baby. I would’ve liked to sleep more too, but she had a bit of a spending habit, to say the least. We averaged two strollers a month, etc.
Baby is now a toddler and guess who works 50 hours a month and has time and money for the kid and home renovations vs who’s unable to pay rent after the divorce. Being the lunatic paid off for me, but not in direct financial gain (anything earned during that era was immediately spent by my ex). Mostly it got me some new connections that appreciate my skills and taught me how much money I could be making per hour if I negotiate well.
2 strollers per month?!
Was it an active warzone?
They never say this is done everyday. in dact, I bet it was an extraordinary day since they chose to post about it.
In dact, someone who posts about things like this on linkedin is not the kind of person who acknowledges the work that their partner does to make a day like that possible.
Funny, but hardly “escaping containment” when the screenshot was doctored to begin with.

The post is from this Threads account: https://www.threads.com/@finance.arman
I couldn’t find the post because I don’t have a Threads account myself and it limits how far back on someone’s timeline you can go, but the UI and username matches. The original post wasn’t in English, so it must have been translated using OCR, resulting in the weird artifacts. You’ve got a good eye to catch that difference.
Ah, see that at least sounds plausible. I’ve used Google Translate to translate road signage with the camera, and it tries to position and resize text to fit the original sign. So if that kind of technology is happening here, that could make some sense.
…but then why wouldn’t you just let the browser translate it for you, since it would normalize the same font size across the entire text? Oh, if they were in the Threads app they wouldn’t have they available.
They daycared the dog?
It’s not necessarily doctored. It can be a problem with the screenshot.
sorry, what? a “problem” with the screenshot"?! it doesn’t cause the fonts to be different 🤣
It absolutely can. Screenshots aren’t always perfect copies; there are often small imperfections introduced during conversion, and this can result in a slightly different font.
Woah… I’m genuinely concerned for you. What are you talking about? A screenshot should be a 1:1 pixel perfect match to the screen. It’s a literal dump of the pixels on your monitor, that’s what happens when you Print Screen on your keyboard. Even screenshots on Android are full size captures of the entire screen - even the pixels obscured by front camera cutouts. I know this because I’ve taken screenshots from my phone and put them in Paint.NET, the resolution of the image is identical to the resolution of the phone, all text is of identical fonts (whatever the HTML/CSS of the page says it should be).
Unless you’re assuming AI post-processing is messing with images, but that’s a much bigger and separate concern. Screenshots can be manipulated, and that means you can be manipulated.
A lossy compression will modify pixels. It will not be 1:1. Webp and JPEG both use lossy compression.
They’re talking about compression artifacts, which is entirely plausible.
Yes algorithms modify your screenshots, as they modifie your photos; and they begun to do that before ChatGPT. Then you save your screenshot; it’s generally in PNG which is not a bad format, but still it’s a compressed format which can be lossless, but generally isn’t as it is applied. Then you crop your screenshot using a shitty android app, which will reduce again the quality.
If you didn’t observe that, I’m concerned for you and your lack of observation.
Yeah but that’s just gonna result in lower image quality, not entirely different font sizes across the picture
LOL!!
